HaUI student won the Medallion for Excellence in the 45th Worldskills Competition

On August 29, at Noi Bai International Airport, students attending the 45th World Skills Competition in Russia were warmly welcomed back. Vu Trong Dat - a HaUI student received an award for excellence.

At Worldskills this year, Hanoi University of Industry had 4 contestants including Vu Trong Dat in Mechanical Engineering CAD, Nguyen Duy Hieu in Electronics, Nguyen Van Hung in Mechanical Electrical Refrigeration and Nguyen Xuan Truong in Plastic Mold Engineering. Notably, Vu Trong Dat has achieved the Medallion for Excellence.

At the 44th competition held in Abu Dhabi in 2017, Nguyen Van Tuan - a former student of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering also achieved the Medallion for Excellence in Mechanical Engineering CAD.

The 45th WorldSkills Kazan 2019 was held for the first time in Russia between 22 and 27 August. More than 1,300 contestants competed in 56 skill competitions across six skills sectors: Construction and Building Technology, Creative Arts and Fashion, Information and Communication Technology, Manufacturing and Engineering Technology, Social and Personal Services, Transportation and Logistics.

Việt Nam ranks 25 among 63 countries and territories at the competition this year and had 19 competitors competing in 18 skills. The delegation achieved the best performance in 7 times participating in the world skills competition as winning a Silver medal and 8 contestants having the Medallion of Excellent certificates.
