30,000 masks will be produced and distributed free of charge to HaUI staffs and students
Faculty of Garment Technology and Fashion Design has implemented production line of cloth masks and expected to distribute free of charge 30000 ones to HaUI staffs, lecturers and students to prevent coronavirus.

With the purpose of addressing the scarcity of masks in the market and ensuring the essential needs for officers, lecturers and students, on February 17th, 2020, Hanoi University of Industry has mobilized staff and students of the Faculty of Garment Technology & Fashion Design to participate in the production of masks with a capacity of 6,000 pieces/day. The number of face masks produced by the Faculty will be expected to reach over 30,000 units in a week.

According to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thi Le, the Faculty is urgently putting production line of cloth masks into use. The product is sewn with 2 layers, made of 100% soft cotton fabric, breathable, comfortable for users, especially those who have to use for a long time. The mask can be re-used several times after washing and drying. Lecturers and students of the faculty will strive to produce at the fastest speed with guaranteed quality.

HaUI has also carried out synchronously many solutions to contribute to the fight against the nCov and protect the health of students and lecturers at the University. Previously, the Faculty of Chemical Technology succeeded in producing alcohol-based hand rub.
The duo of products "mask and alcohol-based hand rub" directly produced by Hanoi University of Industry has been supporting staffs, lecturers and students in the fight against coronavirus disease
