With the participation of over 45 teams, the competition was not only a platform for showcasing technical creativity but also a successful model of collaboration between industry and academia. It demonstrated how linking education with practical production helps students gain confidence as they enter the labor market and better meet the growing demands of the automation industry.
Speaking at the final round, Mr. Tomohiro Watanabe, General Director of MISUMI Vietnam, emphasized: "By prioritizing innovation and real-world applicability, MISUMI Vietnam hopes this competition will serve as a bridge between academic knowledge and practical needs in industrial manufacturing. Through this event, students not only improve their technical skills but also gain a deeper understanding of the importance of productivity and time value in real working environments".
Launched in December 2024, the competition attracted 241 students from eight leading technical universities in Vietnam.
The Online Design Round took place on February 12, 2025, at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, where the organizers received numerous high-quality entries, featuring 3D drawings and simulation videos of automated mechanisms. The six teams that advanced to the final round best met the key evaluation criteria: creative design ideas, scientifically sound and feasible solutions, appropriate components that met technical requirements, and cost optimization.
