Emphasizing the importance of career orientation in accounting and auditing for students in the context of international integration and tax management mindset, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Ngoc Hung, Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, stated: With the rapid and continuous development of science and technology, new opportunities and challenges have arisen for human resources in general and the accounting and auditing profession in particular.

The invited guests attending the seminar were Ms. Le Hai Yen, Director of a Tax Consulting Company in Hanoi, and Mr. Nguyen Huu Nam Ninh, Director of Audit Services at KPMG Vietnam. They took the time to discuss various topics with the students, including the mindset of Accounting and Tax Management in the current context, job opportunities, and challenges for students in the new phase of IFRS in Vietnam.
Analyzing modern accounting thinking, Ms.Le Hai Yen stated that activities such as business planning, financial planning, designing purpose-oriented statistical methods and measurements, comparative analysis and evaluation for recommendations, and data planning and adjustment for subsequent periods are all elements of modern accounting thinking.

Emphasizing eight essential factors that accounting students should possess after graduation, Ms. Le Hai Yen advised the students: "You need to equip yourselves with a solid understanding of specialized knowledge; stay updated on new technologies in the accounting field; develop analytical and evaluative skills; learn how to collaborate and work in teams; cultivate strategic thinking; explore business management; enhance communication and presentation skills; and develop a customer-oriented mindset."
Regarding job opportunities and challenges for students in the new phase of IFRS in Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nam Ninh, Director of Audit Services at KPMG Vietnam, provided practical examples to the students, illustrating the field of auditing in the era of digital transformation.

Accordingly, IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is a set of standards issued by the IASB (International Accounting Standards Board) that governs the preparation and presentation of financial statements by businesses. It is widely recognized and applied in many countries. Therefore, the training of accountants with professional qualifications and knowledge of IFRS is an essential requirement nowadays.
The speaker emphasized that students need to have a proactive, creative, and flexible mindset in updating information and applying modern technology to equip themselves with the necessary knowledge for their future careers. Choosing internships in relevant industry-specific businesses, continuous efforts, language skills development, and ongoing learning will be the right direction to keep pace with the times.
