The gratitude journey of HaUI's students
On the morning of April 5th, a sense of reverence and gratitude filled the air as 60 youth union members and outstanding students from Hanoi University of Industry embarked on a meaningful journey: the Monument of Heroic Martyrs, Hoa Lo Prison and the HaUI's Traditional Room. This journey was not merely a field trip but a profound exploration of history and a tribute to those who sacrificed for the nation.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Hong Quan, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the School Council emphasized the significance of understanding history and the importance of gratitude in shaping a responsible citizenry. By understanding and appreciating the sacrifices of the past, the students are better equipped to contribute meaningfully to society and carry forward the legacy of resilience and patriotism.
The delegation lays flowers in memory of martyrs at the Monument of Heroic Martyrs
Firstly, the delegation laid wreaths in commemoration of martyrs at the Monument of Heroic Martyrs in Bac Son street, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi city. The delegation expressed their gratitude to the outstanding children of the nation who bravely fought and sacrificed themselves for the cause of the struggle for national liberation, for national independence and freedom, and the people's happiness.
The delegation visited Hoa Lo Prison
From there, they proceeded to Hoa Lo Prison, also known as the "Hanoi Hilton," a site that holds immense historical significance. Once a place of incarceration during the colonial era and later during the Vietnam War, it stands as a symbol of resilience and determination. The students delved into the stories of resilience and heroism, gaining a deeper understanding of the struggles faced by previous generations.
The journey ended at HaUI's Traditional Room, where history came alive through artifacts, documents, and interactive exhibits. Here, the students immersed themselves in the rich tapestry of HaUI's past, gaining insights that textbooks alone could not provide.
