Conference of representatives of HaUI officials and employees: electing the University Council for the term 2022 - 2026

On November 13, Hanoi University of Industry held a conference of representatives of officials and employees to elect the University Council for the term 2022 - 2026. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University chaired the conference, with the participation of 630 delegates who are officials and employees of the university.

Overview of the conference

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy reported on the Human Resources Project of the Council of Hanoi University of Industry for the term 2022 - 2026. The Rector emphasized that during the term 2016 - 2021, the University Council decided on the strategy, development plan and approved important regulations and rules of the University, meeting the requirements of autonomy and development of the school.

Delegates attended the conference

Implementing the Law amending and supplementing some articles of Law on Higher Education (2018), and Decree No. 99/2019/ND-CP of the Government in 2019 elaborating and providing guidelines for a number of articles of Law on amendments to Law on Higher Education, the Party Committees and leaders of Hanoi University Industry have agreed and developed a plan to implement the process of electing the University Council for the term 2022 - 2026.

All the participants of the Conference unanimously approved the plan to elect the University Council for the term 2022 – 2026 and agreed that the number of members of the University Council for the term 2022 - 2026 will be 17 members. Those candidates were introduced from organizations, units inside and outside the University. All of them need to meet requirements on qualifications, experience and reputation. The voting was conducted in accordance with regulations, democracy, openness and transparency. The election results with a very high level of consensus demonstrated a sense of responsibility and confidence in the leadership team of the new term who will bring more innovations and contributions to the development of Hanoi University of Industry in the near future.
