Youth movement at Hanoi University of Industry radiates the aspirations of young generation

On January 12th, the Youth Union – Student Union of Hanoi University of Industry held a Conference to review the activities of the Union, youth movements, and student endeavors for the academic year 2022 – 2023, commemorating the 74th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Students.

During the academic year 2022-2023, the activities of the Youth Union, Student Union, and student initiatives have seen solid development, closely aligning with the designated themes and key tasks. This has resulted in tangible effectiveness, surpassing many set targets. The organized programs have demonstrated professionalism, practicality, and a wider outreach.

HaUI’s Youth Union and Student Union continue to leverage its strengths and creativity in propagating traditional education, moral lifestyles, and legal consciousness among its members. Activities are diverse in content and form; they encompass various revolutionary movements such as Youth Volunteering, Youth Creativity, Youth Vanguard in Homeland Defense, and expressions like "I Love Hanoi", accompanying young people in their academic pursuits, scientific research, etc.

At the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Tien Hung acknowledged and praised the contributions of the young generation of Hanoi University of Industry during the academic year 2022-2023, which significantly contributed to the successful implementation of HaUI's political tasks and the general youth movement of the capital. In the coming time, HaUI’s Youth Union and Student Union need to continue adhering closely to the guidance of the Hanoi Youth Union and the Party Committee, the Board of Trustees of Hanoi University of Industry, to effectively carry out the set tasks. Specifically, there should be a focus on organizing activities to promote digital transformation, enhancing digital literacy among students, and attracting widespread participation of young people, students in voluntary activities.

Emphasizing the crucial role of youth in the development of every nation, Associate Professor Pham Van Dong - Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry affirmed: Building a young cadre team is pivotal in all activities, especially in political and ideological education. In the context of deepening international integration, Associate Professor Pham Van Dong believes that the HaUI’s youth, with a strong political ideological stance, will continue to strive for learning, improving expertise, enhancing language skills, and honing soft skills to confidently step into the world.

Within the framework of the Conference, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes for the contest "I choose HaUI – Choosing Hanoi University of Industry to shape the future". The First Prize belonged to HCYU inter-chapter of School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering; the Second Prize belonged to the HCYU inter-chapter of Chemical Technology Faculty; the Third Prize belonged to HCYU inter-chapter of Business Administration Faculty; and the Encouragement Prize belonged to HCYU inter-chapter of Electrical Engineering Faculty, Information Technology Faculty, and School of Foreign Languages - Tourism.
