HaUI Promotes Cooperation in Construction and Industrial Machinery Re-manufacturing with Korea
At the 2024 Korea - Vietnam Construction and Industrial Machinery Re-man Special Exhibition and Seminar, held on October 30 at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), important steps were taken to advance cooperation between Vietnam and Korea in remanufacturing industrial and construction machinery. The event was a milestone in fostering ties between HaUI and Korean enterprises and training institutions, underscoring the importance of sustainable development through remanufacturing.
A symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the start of the event, representing the launch of cooperation initiatives that promise mutual growth and sustainable industry development
The event was organized to boost the import and export of remanufactured machinery products to Vietnam while establishing a foundation for the development of a remanufacturing industry in industrial and construction machinery between the two countries. Representatives from Korea's Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Energy; Vietnam's Ministry of Science and Technology; the Korea Industrial Construction Equipment Remanufacturing Promotion Association; and HaUI were present to support and drive these efforts forward.
The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Energy of Korea, the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam, the Korea Industrial Construction Equipment Remanufacturing Promotion Association, and Hanoi University of Industry
In attendance were various Korean universities, representatives of the Kyengnam High-Tech Complex, 17 Korean enterprises in the remanufacturing field, and over 60 Vietnamese enterprises from the mechanics, industrial production, and construction sectors. This substantial turnout reflected the growing interest and potential in advancing Vietnam’s machinery capabilities through high-tech remanufacturing partnerships.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong highlighted the university's dedication to elevating cooperation with Korean organizations
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong emphasized Vietnam's burgeoning demand for construction and industrial machinery, particularly as the domestic construction sector expands. “With HaUI’s capacity and experience, we are eager to join projects, expand exchanges, and build collaborative efforts in remanufacturing and other areas of mutual interest,” said Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dong. He highlighted the university's dedication to elevating cooperation with Korean organizations, businesses, and academic institutions to new heights.
Delegates toured the exhibition booths, where Korean enterprises showcased a range of advanced remanufacturing technologies, machinery, and equipment
HaUI’s extensive network, comprising more than 200 domestic and international enterprises, has been a cornerstone of practical, mutual benefits for companies, academia, and students alike. Long-standing partnerships with major Korean corporations like Samsung, LG, Hyundai, and Hanwha, as well as with universities in Korea, have yielded positive outcomes over the years, and this event signifies another step in fortifying these relationships.
The seminar concluded with the formal signing of memorandums of understanding between the attending parties, setting the stage for sustained cooperation and future advancements.
