Japanese Speech Contest 2023: A beneficial playground for students

The contest was launched since the beginning of June 2023, the online preliminary round of the Japanese Language Speech Contest 2023, organized by the School of Foreign Languages and Tourism (SLT), Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), has received 29 video entries from colleges, universities, and academies in Hanoi. The organizers have conducted scoring and selected the top 5 outstanding contestants to participate in the eloquence competition in the Contest Finals, which will be held on the afternoon of June 28, 2023.

In the Opening Speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ba Phong - Head of Training, Science and Technology, and Student Affairs Department at the School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, Hanoi University of Industry, congratulated the contestants who made it to the Contest Finals, while affirming that the Japanese Language Speech Contest 2023 is one of the platforms created by the School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, Hanoi University of Industry, to promote the foreign language learning movement.

The contest consists of two rounds: the 'Ring the Golden Bell' round and the Japanese Eloquence Finals, attracting over 100 participants

The contestants demonstrated their academic abilities, confidence, leadership skills, as well as their persuasive speaking abilities in front of the judging panel.

The winner of the 'Ring the Golden Bell' round is Mai Thi Hong Ngoc – the student of Faculty of Japanese Language, School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, Hanoi University of Industry."

The winner of the Japanese Eloquence Finals is Kieu Phuong Anh – the student of Faculty of Japanese Language, School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, Hanoi University of Industry.

The contest has established an academic platform of high quality, fostering strong connections among the contestants and students who share a passion for the Japanese language. The contestants have gained valuable insights from the judges' feedback, enabling them to assess their own abilities.

The Japanese Language Speech Contest 2023, organized by the School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, Hanoi University of Industry, aims to establish high academic and practical activities, providing a beneficial platform for students to experience and showcase their abilities through knowledge-based and presentation-based competitions. This event also holds significant meaning as it commemorates the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973-2023), and aligns with the celebration of the 125th founding anniversary of Hanoi University of Industry.
