Review meeting of ABET Project and BUILD-IT Expansion Project
The successful project opens up new directions in the goal of developing internationally accredited training programs, as emphasized by Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc - Rector of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), during the review meeting of the ABET Project and BUILD-IT Expansion Project held this morning on November 10, 2023.
Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc affirmed: Our destination is not merely certification; it is the core values. We need to correctly identify and evaluate the essence, the position, in order to establish a foundation and motivation to continue maintaining, expanding, and moving forward to build internal assessment standards for other training programs.

Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc emphasized: The excellence in experience, knowledge, and understanding of the supporting experts, along with the highest determination of the university leadership, are the initial advantages that contribute to the success of the project. In addition, the project steering committee, the working groups of the 5 training programs, the support teams, and HaUI's synchronized investment have also played a crucial role in the success of the project.

in the project outcome report, Dr. Pham Van Thoan - Deputy Head of the Academic Affairs Department, emphasized: the training programs have been reviewed and updated according to ABET standards, meeting the requirements effectively. Through two evaluation rounds, the programs have received positive feedback on their preparation and responsiveness; the results of the official evaluation for the 5 training programs have shown remarkable excellence, with no identified limitations or shortcomings.

In parallel with the ABET Project, HaUI’s participation in the practical activities of the BUILD-IT project has contributed to continuous improvement, the development of skills, and the commitment of the university to international standards. The impact of this participation has extended to the quality of training programs, student outcomes, and societal recognition.
During the meeting, interim reports on the ABET Project for the Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, and Computer Science were also shared, highlighting the advantages, challenges, and proposed solutions.

Dr. Bo Quoc Bao – Vice Dean of the Electronic Engineering Faculty, presented the report on the Implementation of ABET Accreditation for the Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering Training Program
Dr. Le Viet Anh - Director of the International Cooperation Center, presented the report on the results of implementing the BUILD-IT Project
Dr. Nguyen Hua Phung and Dr. Nguyen Huy Hoang - Expert consultants for the project, gave speeches at the concluding session
The results of the ABET Project and the BUILD-IT Expansion Project have affirmed the correct direction, resolute guidance, pioneering spirit, and innovation of HaUI’s leadership, as well as the efforts of the participating program units and the collective involvement of all staff, lecturers, and students. The accreditation results further confirm the position and quality of Hanoi University of Industry, aiming for the development of a globally accredited university.
