Expanding Employment Opportunities for Students majoring in Network Engineering and Information Security in Japan
With CCNP certification and proficiency in Japanese at N2, N3 levels, graduates in Network Engineering and Information Security have ample employment opportunities with attractive benefits and high income in Japan.
Currently, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) is training over 6,000 students across 8 fields, including Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Multimedia Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Computer Networks, and Data Communication. All of these disciplines have undergone quality assessment by the Ministry of Education and Training, with the Computer Science program meeting the ABET standards of the United States.
Following an applied training philosophy, graduates are well-equipped with expertise, practical skills, and a quick adaptability to employers’ demands, closely aligning with the practical labor needs of both domestic and international enterprises. Annually, the university supplies over 1,000 skilled employees to the job market in this field, with nearly 150 students securing positions in Japanese enterprises specializing in research and technological product and service provision.
Furthermore, the Computer Networks and Data Communication program at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, HaUI, has integrated content from the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) course by Cisco (a leading global IT and networking company) and advanced content related to the CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) course as per the company's requirements. Consequently, graduates are well-prepared to meet the practical demands of Japanese businesses.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, extends a warm welcome to the visiting delegation and emphasizes the significance of the Network Engineering and Information Security labor force trend. In the era of Industry 4.0, with the explosion of digital transformation and technology, building secure network systems has become more crucial than ever. To address societal needs, HaUI has commenced training in Information Security since 2024.
Leveraging strengths in education and significant achievements in collaboration with Japanese partners like JICA, Hong Hai Foxconn, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Denso, Hanoi University of Industry hopes that Japanese enterprises will collaborate with the university in developing training programs, establishing LAB rooms, implementing policies, work conditions for students in the near future.

They believe that this partnership will contribute to addressing the severe shortage of IT professionals in Vietnam and Japan.
To enhance the quality of education, Japanese business representatives will support Hanoi University of Industry in building training programs, providing Japanese language training, sponsoring tuition fees and scholarships for CCNP certification, recruiting post-graduation, and supporting living expenses.
