Enhancing Safety Measures: Fire Prevention and Rescue Drill at HaUI's Main Campus
In a proactive effort to ensure the safety and well-being of its students, staff, and facilities, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) recently organized a comprehensive fire prevention and rescue drill at its main campus. Building upon the success of a similar event held at the Ha Nam campus, this initiative aimed to enhance the preparedness of the university community in the face of potential emergencies.
The event saw the active participation of nearly 100 officers, lecturers, and staff members, demonstrating a collective commitment to the safety of the HaUI community. The university collaborated closely with the Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Police Department of Bac Tu Liem District Police Station to ensure a thorough and well-coordinated training program.
The training program encompassed both theoretical and practical aspects of fire prevention and rescue. Lectures and workshops were conducted to impart essential knowledge about fire safety protocols, emergency evacuation procedures, and the proper usage of firefighting equipment. These sessions were led by experts from the Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Police Department, who shared their insights and experiences in managing fire-related incidents.
Practical exercises played a crucial role in the drill, allowing participants to apply the theoretical knowledge in realistic scenarios. Simulated fire situations were created to simulate real-life emergencies, providing valuable hands-on experience for attendees. From extinguishing small fires to evacuating buildings safely, the participants actively engaged in various rescue simulations.
Hanoi University of Industry remains committed to maintaining a proactive stance on safety. Future initiatives include regular training programs, periodic drills, and ongoing collaboration with local emergency services to ensure that the campus community is well-prepared for any unforeseen circumstances.
