Cap Trong Minh, an excellent graduate from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

Hi Minh, Congratulations on being an excellent student with high graduation scores from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Can you introduce a little bit about yourself?

Minh: Hello everyone, I am Cap Trong Minh from Class Mechatronics 3, majoring in Mechatronics Engineering Technology. During my university years, I tried my best and achieved some modest results as follows:

- Scholarships for semesters 1,2,3,4,5,6.

- Nguyen Thanh Binh Scholarship in the academic year 2019-2020

- Member of HaUI 4C Club – a club specializing in 3D product design at Hanoi University of Industry) in 2019 – 2020

- Excellent student with the highest graduation score from Mechatronics Engineering Technology

How did you feel when you received excellent graduation results?

Minh: Actually, I feel very happy because my efforts in 4 years of study are more or less paid acknowledged. When I told my family the news, everyone was touched, excited and happy for me. Although I know that this result is just the beginning of a new journey, I really gain more confidence to keep moving forward.

Not all students have such good academic records, can you share your learning experience to achieve high results?

Minh: When I first entered university, I was quite bewildered as I didn’t know how to register for credit courses, and I also didn’t have the capacity to self-direct my own learning, so I was nervous during my first year at university. But after calmly, summarizing the learning process as well as mastering the important milestones in 4 years of study, I have mapped out for myself a detailed and specific learning path. In fact, my experience is not very much. I just always set out clear goals each semester, and when going to the lecture hall, I was highly concentrated on firmly grasping the knowledge in class. In my spare time, I will spend time going to the library and searching for information on Youtube and the Internet. Near the end of a course or at the end of a semester, I will summarize and review key knowledge so that I can get high scores in exams. One point worth noting in oral exams is that you must show your confidence and calmness when listening to the teacher's questions, then giving concise answers. By doing this, you will earn high scores.

After 4 years of studying at Hanoi University of Industry, you surely have many feelings and thoughts before graduating, right?

Minh: Of course, I spent a big part of my youth here and I really feel very lucky to be a small part of Hanoi University of Industry because of the following things:

Firstly, I feel lucky when I was admitted to a University that has good training quality. Besides, the University also offers adequate and modern facilities, so I have the opportunity to work with all kinds of advanced local and international machines.

Secondly, I feel lucky to have the guidance of teachers at the University. They are all qualified and experienced teachers, so they teach us not only academic knowledge but also real-world knowledge in life.

And another lucky thing is that I have got to know and made friends with many friends at Hanoi University of Industry who have always been with me to overcome difficulties in learning as well as through the joys and sorrows of student life.

It is known that Minh has been admitted to New Wing Interconnect Technology Company since you were a student and now you are working at the company. Can you share a little bit about your current job?

Minh: Right from my fourth year at university, I attended the Job Recruitment Workshop of New Wing Interconnect Technology and was fortunate to be accepted, so when I graduated, I worked at the company as a product development engineer. After getting the job, I’m more grateful for HaUI more, because, in addition to the basic knowledge and skills, we also have the opportunity to work with many machinery systems, to have field trips..., so I’m not surprised too much when working at current the company. In this working environment, I am greatly supported and facilitated by my colleagues while I myself still trying to improve myself.

Another generation of freshmen is about to enter the University, is there anything you would like to say to them?

Minh: Well, actually, my achievement is too small compared to many other friends, but I am a little proud because my efforts have partly paid off. As an alumnus and a forerunner, I hope that my sharing can help you in the learning process, hope you will have interesting experiences at our beloved HaUI. During the 4 years of study, there will definitely be difficulties and boring times, but don't allow yourself to back down. Try your best, and spend your youth cultivating knowledge and skills to integrate into society. I love the saying "Life will knock you down, but we can choose whether or not to stand back up."
