HaUI students achieved great results at the 30th Informatics Olympiad for Vietnamese students

The student team of the Faculty of Information Technology, Hanoi University of Industry excellently won 01 First prize, 03 Second prizes, 04 Third prizes, 01 Consolation prize at the 30th Informatics Olympiad (OLP) for Vietnamese students, Procon and the 2021 Asia Hanoi International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) taken place in Hanoi from March 22 to March 25, 2022.

The contest is jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Vietnam Informatics Association and the Vietnamese Student Association, with the hosting of FPT University Hanoi. The event gathered nearly 700 students from 67 universities and colleges across the country with 68 students participating in the Super Cup, 171 students in the informatics division, 114 students in the non-informatics division, and 9 students from colleges, 27 students attended the Open Source Software, 46 students attended Vietnam PROCON and 126 teams with 378 students attended the 2021 Asia Hanoi ICPC.

OLP team of Hanoi University of Industry with the participation of 15 students competed in the following contents: Individual Super Cup (02 students), Individual informatics division (03 students), Individual non-informatics division (03 students), Vietnam Procon (03 teams, each team consists of 03 members), International Collegiate Programming Contest (03 teams, each team consists of 03 members).

With thorough preparation, good practice and great determination, after 04 days of competition, Hanoi University of Industry team excellently won 01 First prize, 03 Second prizes, 04 Third prizes and 01 Consolation prize, namely:

1. Informatics Olympiad (OLP)

- 01 Second Prize in Informatics division: To Van Sang - Class CNTT02-K14

- 01 Second Prize in Non-informatics division: Le Xuan Thinh – Class KTPM01-K16

- 02 Third Prize in Non-informatics division: Nguyen Dinh Tu - Class TTMT01-K16, Nguyen Duy Minh Quan - Class CNTT01-K16

- 01 Consolation prize in Informatics division: Nguyen Tien Duy - Class KTPM01-K15.

2. International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC)

- 01 ICPC Third Prize: HaUI HIT TitanS team (Nguyen Trung Hai - Class DTTT07-K13, Le Hoang Thach - Class KTPM03-K14, Nguyen Tien Duy - Class KTPM01-K15)
3. Vietnam Procon
- 01 First Prize: HaUI Rickroll team (Phung The Tai - Class KTPM02-K13, Nguyen Manh Cuong - Class IT02-K14, Pham Quang Trung - Class KTPM03-K13).
- 01 Second Prize: HaUI Three Amigos team (Nguyen Van Vu - Class KHMT01-K15, Ngo The Tai - Class KHMT01-K15, Nguyen Viet Hung - Class KHMT01-K15).
- 01 Third Prize: HaUI HIT TitanS team (Nguyen Trung Hai - Class DTTT07-K13, Le Hoang Thach - Class KTPM03-K14, Nguyen Tien Duy - Class KTPM01-K15).

In particular, Mr. Nguyen Trung Phu - lecturer of the Faculty of Information Technology received the Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations for his “outstanding achievements in organizing the Informatics Olympiad for Vietnamese Students and Asia Hanoi the ICPC contest".

The success of this year's Informatics Olympic team has continued the series of continuous achievements of Hanoi University of Industry over the years in the field of information technology on the intellectual playground of Vietnamese students.
