The delegation of HaUI’s outstanding students in the “Journey of Gratitude”

From June 3 to June 5, 2022, Hanoi University of Industry organized the program “Journey of Gratitude” for more than 30 outstanding students led by Mr. Tran Ngoc Khanh - Party member, Head of Department of Student Affairs to visit the “red addresses” (also known as historical relics) in Ha Giang province.

On the morning of June 3, 2022, a delegation of outstanding students of the University offered incense and flowers to martyrs at the Vi Xuyen National Martyrs' Cemetery, Ha Giang province. The Vi Xuyen National Martyrs’ Cemetery is home to 1,847 graves of martyrs nationwide who laid down their lives to safeguard the country’s northern border between 1979 and 1988, (including 275 graves of unknown martyrs coming from 33 provinces and cities across the country).

On the morning of June 4, the delegation saluted the flag at Lung Cu Flagpole built on the top of Dragon Mountain and is the northernmost point of Vietnam. On the top of the flagpole, a national flag with a surface of 54m², representing for 54 ethnic groups living together in the Fatherland of Vietnam is hung on the flagpole at 12.9m high.

Comrade Tran Ngoc Khanh - Party member, Head of Student Affairs Department shared: the “Journey of Gratitude” is not only a political activity, but it is also a meaningful experience, helping students understand more about the people and beauty of Ha Giang; recalling “the golden pages” of the country’s history, the silent victories of so many heroes who died for the Fatherland. This experience will also encourage outstanding students of the University to try hard in learning and practicing; to bring their wisdom and youth to participate more in social and community activities...
