Hanoi University of Industry establishes cooperative relationship with Wakayama province, Japan
That was the main content of the meeting between Hanoi University (HaUI) of Industry and the delegation of government and business in Wakayama province, Japan. The event took place on the afternoon of October 6, 2022 at Hanoi University of Industry.
Overview of the working session between Hanoi University of Industry and the delegation of government and business in Wakayama province, Japan
The delegation was led by Ms. Yamakawa Atsuko - Head of the Cooperation Promotion Department of Wakayama Provincial Government, along with representatives of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Wakayama Prefecture, a number of businesses and universities and colleges.
Welcoming and working with the delegation, There wass Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc - Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, and representatives of LETCO Company, Faculty of Automobile Technology, Center for Enterprises Partnership, Center for International Cooperation, Center for Vietnam - Japan, Center for Automobile Technology & Driving Training.
At the meeting, Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc, representative of Hanoi University of Industry highly appreciated the development of Wakayama province - a province with a population of more than 1 million people but GDP ranked 20th out of 47 provinces in Japan. Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc believed that the great potential of Wakayama province combined with the training mission of HaUI, the two sides have many opportunities for cooperation, turning potentials into benefits.

Based on the existing good cooperation relationship between Hanoi University of Industry and more than 600 Japanese organizations and partners (including 30 trade unions, 500 companies in Japan, 70 Japanese companies in Vietnam and many universities and colleges), The two sides proposed a number of cooperation contents as follows:
- Exchange lecturers and students between universities and colleges of Wakayama and Hanoi University of Industry.
- Exchange teaching methods, scientific research and cultures with universities and colleges in Wakayama Prefecture on related professions and fields, including Japanese Language and Culture.
- Cooperate with enterprises of Wakayama province in recruiting students from Hanoi University of Industry to work at enterprises in Japan.
- Supply human resources for enterprises in Wakayama province through LETCO Company, affiliated to Hanoi University of Industry.
- Establish Wakayama-HaUI Japanese Language Center at Hanoi University of Industry.
- Establish a model of training cooperation between Hanoi University of Industry and Wakayama provincial universities/colleges and enterprises in the form of 2+2 or 2+1.

Representative of the delegation of Wakayama province, Ms. Yamakawa Atsuko expressed her pleasure to be warmly welcomed by HaUI. Ms. Yamakawa Atsuko as well as the delegation members agreed with the cooperation proposals from Hanoi University of Industry. The two sides will have specific discussions and working sessions to sign a cooperation document in the near future.
