HaUI students won the Third prize at the Closing Ceremony of Student Science Research 2019 Award

Research paper topic "Research and application of Internet of Things technology to build an intelligent greenhouse system" by a group of students from the Faculty of Information Technology won the Third prize and was awarded at the Closing Ceremony of Student Science Research 2019. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh Youth Union, Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations on the morning of December 1st, 2019 at the National University of Civil Engineering in Hanoi.

The "Student Science Research 2019" Award attracted a total of 419 scientific research projects of students. Those were the most excellent topics selected from thousands of scientific research projects of students from 85 universities and institutes in Vietnam. 6 fields of science and technology were included in the awards: Natural Science; Technical Science and Technology; Medical Science; Agricultural Science; Social Science and Humanities.

Overview of the Closing Ceremony

This year, Hanoi University of Industry had 05 groups participating in the Award in the field of Technical Science and Technology and won 01 Third prize and 03 Consolation prizes. The topic "Research and application of Internet of Things Technology to build an intelligent greenhouse system" by a group of 05 IT students, including Ho Sy Hau, Tran Van Chuc, Nguyen Thanh Nam, Phuc Ngoc Nghia , Nguyen Ba Nghia has excellently won the Third prize. According to the evaluation of the Judging Council, this topic is new, creative, scientific and practical.

Meanwhile, 03 other topics won Consolation prizes, including:

1. Topic "Research and fabricate ferromagnetic nanomaterial’s (Fe3O4) from Central Highlands red mud applied as Cr (VI) materials in plating wastewater" by 03 students from the Faculty of Chemical Technology: Truong Anh Thu, Chu Quy Thuong and Le Xuan Bien; Instructor: Dr. Pham Thi Mai Huong.

2. Topic "Research, design, manufacture Rubic decoding robots" by 05 students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering: Dam Van Cong, Le Van Hieu, Dao Xuan Quan, Nguyen Sach Tung, Nguyen Song Toan; Instructor: Dr. Nguyen Nhu Tung.

3. Topic "Research and manufacture robotic vacuums" by 05 students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology: Vu Minh Tien, Tong Kim Manh, Chu Quang Tinh, Pham Ngoc Hoang, Dinh Tat Nguyen; Instructor: MS. Ha Trung Kien.

After receiving the Third prize, Ho Sy Hau excitedly shared: “I am so happy now. It is a recognition for the effort of each team member for months of research. On behalf of the team, I would like to thank our lecturers for always supporting and creating learning environment, scientific research for us.”

According to the Organizing Committee, The annual Student Science Research Award is to encourage students to get involved in scientific research and develop their creative thinking, self-study, learning autonomy skills and teamwork. It is also believed that universities and institutions will further invest into student researches, hence a development in training quality. At the event, the Organizing Committee awarded 10 First prizes, 62 Second prizes, 89 Third prizes and 118 Consolation prizes.
