The third festival of “Students of Five Merits” at City-level in 2022 was organized at Hanoi University of Industry

Implementing the Program of Youth Union - Association work and student movement of the Capital; aiming at creating an environment for students to practice and strive for achieving the title “Students of Five Merits”, promoting the creativity and intelligence of students, The Youth Union - Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi in collaboration with Hanoi University of Industry to organize the third festival of “Students of Five Merits” at City-level in 2022 on September 8, 2022.

The festival took place with many meaningful activities, held at Hanoi University of Industry with the participation of 2,000 union members and students from more than 60 universities, colleges and academies in Hanoi.

Overview of the Opening Ceremony

Attending the opening ceremony of the festival, on the side of the guests, there were representatives from the Ministries, Central Union and Hanoi City: Comrade Thang Thi Hanh - Director of the Department of NGOs, Ministry of Home Affairs, Comrade Nguyen Nhat Linh - Member of the Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the School Youth Committee of the Central Youth Union, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, Mr. Trinh Huy Thanh - Deputy Head of the Party's Mass Mobilization Commission of Hanoi; Mr. Tran Luu Hoa - Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Education and Training; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hien - Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Red Cross Association.

On the side of the Youth Union, there was the presence of Mr. Tran Quang Hung - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union, Chairman of the City Student Union; Mr. Dao Duc Viet - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union; Mr. Hoang Thanh Tam - Member of Standing Committee, Head of Youth Committee of the Youth Union School, Standing Vice Chairman of the City Student Union.

On the side of Hanoi University of Industry, there were the attendance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hong Quan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Bong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice-Rector of the University and Mr. Do Minh Hien - Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hanoi University of Industry.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Quang Hung - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union, and President of the City Student Union reviewed and summed up the 2022 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, rewarded 128 collectives and 130 individuals making excellent achievements during the implementation of the campaign.

Comrade Tran Quang Hung - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, and Chairman of the City Student Union awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements during the implementation of the 2022 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.

Comrade Trinh Huy Thanh - Deputy Head of the Department of Mass Mobilization of Hanoi and Mr. Dao Duc Viet - Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the implementation of the 2022 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.

Mr. Tran Luu Hoa - Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Home Affairs and Mr. Nguyen Manh Linh - Member of the Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of Hanoi Student Union awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements during the implementation of the Youth Volunteer Campaign Summer 2022.

Mr.Tran Quang Hung presented certificates of merit and awards to Mr. Le Doan Truc Mai - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Student Union under Faculty of Law - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, who is the student leader winning a consolation prize at the fourth National Student Leaders Competition in 2022.

Mr. Tran Quang Hung congratulated and awarded the decision to establish 03 Vietnamese student clubs at universities, colleges and academies.

The Youth Union launched 03 Vietnamese Student Clubs - the premise for the establishment of Associations in universities, colleges and academies in the city; launched the network of student clubs in the Capital, introduced the project "Hanoi - the city of the future" and launched the peak emulation round towards the 16th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union period 2022 - 2027.

Mr. Nguyen Do Dung - General Director of the international consulting firm ENCITY introduced the project "Hanoi - the city of the future".

Mr. Doan Trung Duy - General Director of HUBMETA Institute of Digital Transformation and Smart Governance launched the Program "Capital youth contribute ideas to build the future capital - Hanoi Future City".

Hopefully, in the coming time, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union and the Student Association continues to have more activities to create conditions for union members and young people studying at universities, colleges and academies in Hanoi to have the opportunity to show their talents, bravery and aim for the title of “Students of Five Merits”.

The festival took place with many attractive and practical activities, creating training and striving environment for members and students such as the 2022Capital Student Health Association; Forum "Students Entrepreneurship and International Integration" - International Student Exchange Leadercamp 2022"; Ringing the Golden Bell Competition: Understanding knowledge of Marxism, Leninism science, Ho Chi Minh Ideology and Resolution No. 15-CT/ The Politburo dated May 5, 2022, on “Orientation and tasks for the development of Hanoi Capital until 2030, with a vision to 2045; a camp competition with the theme "Welcome the 16th Congress of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Hanoi city, term 2022 - 2027".
