Partnership with Toho Vietnam Co., Ltd.

1. Recruitment of many “made-in-HaUI/VJC” technicians Since its establishment, Toho Vietnam has regularly recruited graduates from Vietnam-Japan Center (VJC)/HaUI. As of July 2010, 36 HaUI graduates are working in production and design departments. They are actively contributing recent business developments in Toho Vietnam.

2. Internship Programs
Toho Vietnam accepts about 30 interns from VJC every year. Students will receive the training which is similar to the one for newly employees. The training consists of company policy, company rules, basic production management, production procedures, etc. Through this internship programs, students will learn how working in companies like, while Toho can identify suitable candidate for their future staff.

3. Receive Manufacturing Orders to Production Equipment
HaUI urges students to strengthen their practical skills by integrating ctual production operation into the course works or graduation works.
VJC sometimes receive manufacturing orders for production equipment from Toho Vietnam. By producing them, students learned how to meet with customer’s requirement on quality and delivery.

4. Study Tour to Toho Co., Ltd., Japan
6 HaUI members visited Toho Co., Ltd. in Japan, which is located in Annaka-city, Gunma Prefecture. 6 HaUI members observed Toho’s modern manufacturing system which produces mold and die and plastic products. The further partnership for upgrading mold-and-die human resources in Vietnam was also discussed.

5. Implement Pilot Skill Tests
Under the direction of the Government of Vietnam, HaUI is planning to implement pilot skill tests in selected fields. HaUI is aiming at developing skill tests in close consultation with enterprises. A Toho staff participated in a expert meeting for developing the CNC machining skill standard.
