From May 18th to May 20th, 2016, the 8th Hanoi International Energy and Environment Technologyexpo took place (Entech hanoi 2016) at International Exhibition Centre ICE, 91 Tran Hung Dao, Hanoi with the participation of 150 businesses, organizations and groups from Vietnam, Japan, South Korea, etc. At the expo, Hanoi University of Industry introduced the model of fuel-saving vehicles.

The expo is an annual event held for the purpose of propagation and promotion of products, equipment and advanced technology to save energy and cleaner production technologies. It also creates a comfortable environment for enterprises to have the access to advanced technology solutions. As a results, this will gradually replace the low-performance equipment with high-performance ones to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises. At the same time, this will create favorable conditions for enterprises operating in the fields of energy and environment to discuss, exchange, cooperate and transfer technology.
Products on display at the show this year included environmental treatment equipment (water, medical waste, domestic waste and livestock), equipment for energy (wind energy, solar energy, renewable energy and nuclear power), equipment for factories, high-performance equipment and environmental friendly power-saving appliances.
There were also other events such as workshop discussing how to improve the efficiency of energy use in buildings; action plans to respond to climate change in the sector of Industry and Trade in Hanoi and awarding "green technology products" for 5 units of high quality products meeting the criteria of energy saving and environmental protection.

In Expo Hanoi 2016 Hanoi University of Industry introduced to businesses, organizations and a large number of visittors fuel-saving cars built by lecturers and students of Automotive Technology Department. This was the car which won the championship of the eco-driving fuel-saving contest held by Honda with the record of homemade car running nearly 3,000 kilometers with just 1 liter of gasoline.
