Announcement Ceremony of Decision allowing HaUI to offer Ph.D programs in Mechanical Engineering

HaUI honourly received the Decision by Minister of Education and Training allowing the university to offer Ph.D programs in Mechanical Engineering on 7^th January, 2015.

This is a historical turning point since Hanoi Industrial College was accepted to become a university (under the name Hanoi University of Industry) 10 years ago.

Regarding the goal of improving training quality to meet the demand for high quality labour force, the event marks a milestone for the university in particular and others under the Ministry of Industry and Trade in general.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Ga presented the Decision allowing HaUI to offer Ph.D programs in Mechanical Engineering.

At the ceremony, on behalf of Ministry of Education and Training, Deputy Minister Bui Van Ga said “Ministry of Education and Training highly appreciates remarkable development of HaUI over the last years. That is basic for assessing and then allowing HaUI to offer Ph.D programs in Mechanical Engineering.”

HaUI has fullfilled all the strict requirements to offer Ph.D programs in Mechanical Engineering, added the Deputy Minister.

At the ceremony, on behalf of Ministry of Industry and Trade, Phuong Hoang Kim, Director of Division of Human Resource Development, expressed his belief that HaUI would take the leading position in training post graduates, contributing to training and providing high quality human resources in Mechanical Engineering for universities and research centers nationwide.

HaUI President Dr. Tran Duc Quy promised to complete all missions given to the university.

HaUI, with its 117 years of tradition, has constantly improved the training quality to provide the society with ten thousands of skillful technicians and engineers, meeting the high demand of the society. On behalf of over 1700 staffs, 40000 students of the university, Dr. Tran Duc Quy expressed his determination to successfully offer the first Ph.D program and make all efforts to offer other Ph.D programs and Master courses in the next 2 years.
