Graduation Ceremony and Award of Master's Degrees for 12 Lao students

On December 8th, Hanoi University of Industry organized the Graduation Ceremony for 12 new graduates of Master Degrees. They are international students from Laos have successfully completed their studies at the university and were awarded Master's Degrees.

Overview of the ceremony

The Master's Degree Award Ceremony was honored to welcome Dr. Khamphanh Khamone - Counselor of Education and Culture, Embassy of Lao PDR in Vietnam. On the side of Hanoi University of Industry, there was Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Hong Quan - President of the University Council, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Van Bong - Vice Rector, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Van Dong - President of the Trade Union; Representatives of faculties and centers; lectuers and 12 Lao students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Van Bong - Vice Rector of the university recognized great efforts of the students in training, studying, and doing research during their time with the university. He also mentioned about the challenging time of the university in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic while still ensuring its normal operational training activities.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Van Bong emphasized that the outcomes today are a clear example of endless efforts of the whole system of the university in teaching, training, and studying of all lecturers and students in 2020 and previous years.

"I would like to congratulate to all of you, the new graduates of Master Degrees. I strongly believe that you will continue to contribute to the development of society with your knowledge and skills; especially to build an increasingly stable and developed relationship between Vietnam and Laos", said Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Van Bong.

Representative of the Embassy of Lao PDR in Vietnam, PhD. Khamphanh Khamone - Counselor of Culture and Education expressed his deep thanks to HaUI for supporting Lao students as well as affirming the increasingly important role and mission of HaUI in training Lao students.

Umvong Kiengcay, a fresh master student - on behalf of Lao students made speech

The representative of Lao students, Master Umvong Kiengcay responded by saying thank you to the valuable supports from the dedicated lectures during their academic journey, noting that all Lao students were so happy when they had an opportunity to acquire not only knowledge provided by the university but also soft skills that needed for their success in life.

At the ceremony, the university's leaders awarded diplomas to 12 new masters in 04 majors: Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Information System.
