Keysight-HaUI: Collaborative Partner for Sustainable Development

On the morning of September 8, 2022, representatives of Keysight Technologies and ASIC paid a working visit to Hanoi University of Industry. Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc - Vice Rector of the university chaired the reception.

Attending the meeting, on Keysight Technologies' side, there were Mr. Jun Chie - Deputy General Director of Keysight Technologies, in charge of Asia - the Pacific region, Mr. Sang Ho - Director of Keysight region, Mr. Nguyen Anh Quan - Deputy Director ASIC (Distributor of Keysight Technologies in Vietnam). On the side of Hanoi University of Industry, there were Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc - Vice Rector, Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Director of Center for Business Cooperation, Dr. Hoang Manh Kha - Dean of Faculty of Electronics Engineering, Dr. Pham Van Ha - Vice Dean of Faculty of Information Technology.

Overview of the meeting

At the meeting, Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc introduced an overview of the development history and important achievements that Hanoi University of Industry has achieved in terms of training, scientific research, technology transfer, and international cooperation. Especially in the field of business cooperation, the university has a sustainable cooperation relationship with more than 3,000 domestic and foreign enterprises, partners from Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan...
In the strategy of reforming university governance according to a smart university model, the goal is that by 2025, Hanoi University of Industry will launch 3-5 schools; including the School of Electricity - Electronics and the School of Information Technology. Therefore, the university will invest in modern equipment, machinery and human resources for training and scientific research. Besides promoting internal resources, in order to succeed, HaUI needs extensive and sustainable cooperation with domestic and foreign enterprises.

On behalf of Keysight Technologies, Mr. Jun Chie highly appreciated the facilities, training scale as well as achievements of the university. Keysight Technologies has developed strengths in the field of electronic measurement technology and ensures network security, so Mr. Jun Chie hopes that the two sides will reach many cooperation agreements on training and research in the field of electronics and information technology.

The two sides agreed to propose a number of cooperation programs in the coming time:
- To support technical and solutions for electronics, RF, IoT, Automotive, and IT labs;
- To cooperate in training and granting Keysight certificates to HaUI lecturers and students;
- To sponsor basic electronic measurement equipment for the school through ASIC company (distributor of Keysight in Vietnam).
