The 10th 5S week closing ceremony

On November 11th 2015, 5S Committee held closing ceremony of the 10th 5S week with the participation of all unit representatives, Youth Union, and Student Association of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI).

Held from 9th -13th November 2015, the 10th 5S week witnessed many positive changes such as promoting the improvement in the unit's self-assessment, the individuals’autonomy, as well as strengthening the guiding role of 5S Committee’s assessors. Besides, the activity propaganda of 10th 5S week was enhanced. Testing activities are deeply focused.

The results showed that individual awareness at the offices had been enhanced and tasks were clearly assigned; in the garage areas, motor or car arrangement had been improved; in common areas and lecture halls, pedagogical landscapes were preserved. The quality of 10th 5S week had been raised with an average score of 78.5 points (an average score of 9th 5S week is 77.6 points).

Prizes were awarded to those units with the best results.

First Prize: Information-Library Center/ Faculty of Teacher Training and Tourism

Second Prize: Science and Technology / Faculty of Automotive Technology.

Third Prize: Center for Enterprise Partnership and Vocational Skill Assessment /Vietnam – Japan Center.

To maximize the effectiveness of 11th 5S week, 5S Committee unanimously undertake four key tasks in the coming time as follows:

1. Strengthen the propaganda for each individual’s perception, proper understanding and implementation ;

2. Focus on supporting weak units for a long time;

3. Improve the quality of 5S in the units, strengthen the filtering and sorting of documents, set up trainings to propagate 5S, and suggest the Youth Union to maintain the Green Friday;

4. From the 11th5S week, 5S Committee adds unit’s self-evaluation into the marking checklist.
