The 33rd Vietnam Student Olympiad in Informatics, Procon Vietnam, and ICPC Asia Hanoi 2024: A Showcase of Talents
From December 11 to 13, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) proudly hosted the 33rd Vietnam Student Olympiad in Informatics, Procon Vietnam, and ICPC Asia Hanoi 2024. This major event attracted a vast array of young technology enthusiasts from across the country and beyond, marking it as the largest of its kind to date.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice Rector of HaUI, emphasized the significance of this prestigious event. He highlighted its role as a platform for fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence in the field of information technology among students and educators alike.
A Record-Breaking Participation
This year’s competition witnessed record-breaking participation, with over 649 students and 140 lecturers and coaches in attendance. The event brought together: 159 teams from 87 universities, colleges, and academies across Vietnam; 37 teams from 22 specialized high schools; and 20 teams from 9 international universities.
These participants represented a diverse array of talent, competing in various categories and showcasing their expertise in programming and problem-solving.
A Platform for Collaboration and Growth
The 33rd Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad, Procon Vietnam, and the ICPC Asia Regional Programming Contest 2024 provided a unique opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, learn from each other, and gain invaluable experiences. The event created a vibrant forum for interaction among students, lecturers, and coaches from different provinces in Vietnam as well as from international institutions.
This competition was not only a stage for young talents to shine but also a chance for them to challenge themselves and learn from the best in the field. It played a vital role in nurturing the next generation of IT professionals and contributing to the advancement of Vietnam’s technology sector.
