Training workshop in preparation for “The ASEAN Skills Competition 2016 - Internet of Things”

In preparation for the coming 11th ASEAN Technical Skills Competition scheduled to take place from 19th - 29th in September, 2016 in Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia, two students from Hanoi University of Industry: Tran Dong Kien and Dang Thanh Diem are to participate in a technical skill training workshop in the headquarters of Yalong Science and Technology Group (based in Wenzhou city, Zhejiang province, China). The workshop is run by Yalong Group, and is made possible with the support of Bureau of Technical Training, Hanoi University of Industry’s Boards of Management and Faculty of Information Technology.

Yalong Science and Technology Group (China) is the country’s leading supplier of education equipment. The students received heartfelt support and guidance from the group’s electronics and IT experts. Upon arriving in China, the team was provided a private training room and personal coach and quickly began training, all thanks to Yalong Group’s well-thought-of preparation. After two weeks of rigorous training the team was able to master basic skills with the experts’ help. After the pilot tests, Chinese experts expressed high opinion of the team’s technical skills and creativity. They had confidence in our students’ chance of getting positive results in the upcoming ASEAN Technical Skills Competition.

Hereunder is some pictures of two students’ training session with YL-730A Intelligent Building System Integration And Internet of Things Development - INTELLIGENT BUILDING

YL-730A is an integrated and internet-based system including a supporting platform, power control and sound alarm, multi-direction safely plug, necessary server system, simulation devices and related software development programs.

Apart from the main training agenda, the group also introduced to the team important training equipment and processes of the group which our university holds great interest in. These include: CNC programming and maintenance; electrical control, smart house control; industrial automation, etc. In the upcoming period, the cooperation between two parties shall be boosted on the foundation of this successful training workshop and facility tour.

The group has provided the team members with excellent accommodation and travel facility. Currently all the team members are in high spirit and are highly prepared for the competition. With the additional skills acquired through this training workshop, our “Internet of things” team from Electronics-IT Faculty is very determined and confident that they will garner the best results for Vietnam in the 11th ASEAN Technical Skills Competition, 2016.

Trần Đông Kiên (Student from IT Faculty) is awarded the certificate of excellence upon completing the training workshop by Yalong Group. Kien will represent Hanoi University of Industry to take part in the ASEAN Skills Competition for Internet of Things
