Delegates from Embassy of Mozambique in Vietnam pay a working visit to Hanoi University of Industry

Assoc. prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Party Commission Secretary, Rector of HaUI affirmed that Hanoi University of Industry has always highly valued the importance of the cooperation with Mozambique and hoped to visit and work with universities in Mozambique, promoting the development collaboration between the two sides.

Receiving the Mozambique delegation on the morning of October 8^th was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Secretary of Party Committee, Retor, Dr. Bui Thi Ngan - Vice Rector, Dr. Le Viet Anh - Head of International Cooperation Department, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Director of International Education Center, and representatives of Personel & Administration Department, and Center for Communications and Public Relations

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Rector of HaUI presides over the reception and meeting with delegates from Mozambique Embassy in Vietnam

At the reception, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Secretary of Party Committee, Rector of HaUI introduced the development history of HaUI, its achievements regarding facilities and staffs over the past 120 years to the Ambassador of Mozambique. He emphasized the strengths of HaUI in training in the fields of engineering and technology such as Mechanics, Mechatronics, Electricity, IT… At present, HaUI offers 4 Ph.D. programs, 9 Master’s Degree programs, 33 Bachelor’s Degree programs, 15 Associate Diploma programs with outstanding achievements including the development of CDIO based curriculum. Also, there is the cooperation with more than 2,000 domestic and foreign enterprises, numerous student exchange programs, joint training programs with foreign universities such as the UK, USA, China, Japan, Korea, Laos, Mozambique, etc. and the improved training quality with more than 95% graduates employed after from 6 months to 1 year of graduation.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy said “On behalf of HaUI, I would like to thank the goverment of Mozambique for sending students to HaUI. The comprehensive cooperation between Mozambique and Vietnam has been strenthened. HaUI which is now a reliable and prestigious institution, hope to welcome more Mozambique students coming to study".

Mr. Lenardo Rosario Manuel Pene, Mozambican Ambassador to Vietnam, expressed his thanks to the University Management Board for the warm welcome and his admiration for the facilities, the great development and the training scale of HaUI. He said "I would like to thank Rector Tran Duc Quy and the University for supporting Mozambique students and hope the university would continue to train the Mozambique students in the fields of engineering, enhancing the quality of human resources of our country”. The Ambassador congratulated the university on its 120th anniversary, and also expected deeper cooperation between Mozambique and Hanoi University of Industry in the future.

At the end of the meeting, the delegation spent time visiting the facilities at some of the university centers such as Vietnam-Japan Center, Mechanical Center, Hong Hai Foxconn Technical Center and International Education Center.
