School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry: Innovation, Breakthrough, and Development
Amidst the sweeping wave of technological and industrial revolutions, the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is poised for dynamic growth and groundbreaking transformation. This evolution is fueled by global trends in automation, renewable energy, and the proliferation of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and cloud computing. As nations and enterprises prioritize smart electronics and sustainable energy solutions, the industry stands at the forefront of immense potential.
However, this rapid advancement also presents a pressing challenge: the urgent need for a highly skilled workforce to keep pace with the accelerating technological shift. Without strategic investment, a shortage of top-tier talent could hinder the sector’s ability to fully leverage emerging opportunities. Recognizing this imperative, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) has pioneered a strategic overhaul of its educational framework, embracing internationalization and interdisciplinary integration. HaUI has proactively modernized its curricula and restructured academic divisions, merging closely related disciplines in economics and automotive engineering. In alignment with this vision, HaUI has consolidated the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Electronic Engineering to establish the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (SEEE), as per Resolution No. 74/NQ-HĐT issued by the University Council of Hanoi University of Industry on December 16, 2024. This marks a defining milestone in HaUI’s strategic transformation.
Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, delivered a speech at the event
The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (SEEE) comprises over 100 lecturers, including 40 Associate Professors and PhDs. SEEE’s academic staff are not only young, dynamic, and dedicated but also highly specialized. They actively stay abreast of emerging technological trends, engage in applied research, and contribute to scientific and technological projects. Their commitment ensures that students acquire both advanced theoretical knowledge and practical experience while fostering critical thinking and a passion for innovation.
SEEE takes great pride in its distinguished legacy, shaped by generations of devoted leaders and educators who have inspired successive cohorts and laid a strong foundation for the advancement of Hanoi University of Industry and the national education sector as a whole.
Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, and Dr. Hoang Manh Kha, Headmaster of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, under Hanoi University of Industry, presented the appointment decision, officially assigning Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Trong Chuong as Vice Headmaster of SEEE and Head of the General Affairs Department.
