Hanoi University of Industry meets with Hoffman Group, Germany to discuss cooperation opportunities.

On December 4th, 2018, Dr. Bui Thi Ngan - Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) received a delegation from Vietnam Industrial & Commercial College (VCI) and Hoffman Group, Federal Republic of Germany - one of the leading industrial tool manufacturers and machining method advisors in Europe.

Attending the meeting, on HaUI side, there was Dr. Bui Thi Ngan - Vice Rector, Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Director of Center for Enterprise Partnership and representatives of International Cooperation Department, Faculty of Automobile Technology. Mr. Thomas Schlegtendal, on behalf of Hoffman Group management board and directors of Hoffman Branches in Germany were present at the meeting. There was also a delegation from Vietnam Industrial & Commercial College.

Overview of the meeting

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Bui Thi Ngan welcomed the delegation. The Vice Rector presented the university facilities and outstanding international cooperation projects. She emphasized that: Hanoi University of Industry always attaches great importance to developing international cooperation, especially with businesses. Over the past years, the University has been supported and benefited from many projects and international investments which contribute significantly to the training of high quality human resources for the domestic and international labor markets.

Mr. Thomas Schlegtendal, representative of Hoffmann Group, expressed his thanks for the warm welcome. He said that there has been a shortage of technical human resources in recent years in Germany. During his visit, he highly appreciated the university modern facilities and training programs in fields of Automobile, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. He looked forward to working with the University on the training and employment for students.

Before the official meeting, the delegation of Hoffmann Group and VCI paid a visit to the workshops at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, HaUI - Foxconn Technical Training Center and Vietnam - Japan Center.
