MOU signing ceremony between Hanoi University of Industry and Kwantlen University of Science and Technology, Canada
In order to expand opportunities for cooperation and development of international training programs, on January 16th, 2019, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) and Kwantlen University of Science and Technology - Canada (KPU) signed a MOU with many important contents.
Attending the signing ceremony, from KPU, there was Prof. Salvador Ferreras – Vice president and members of the delegation. On HaUI side, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Rector, Dr. Bui Thi Ngan - Vice Rector and representatives of International Cooperation Department and Faculty of Garment Technology & Fashion Design. The signing ceremony also had the presence of Mr. Jef Stokes - General Director of Maxport Limited Vietnam.

Speaking at the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Rector of HaUI expressed his sincere thanks to Prof. Salvador Ferreras for choosing Hanoi University of Industry as a cooperative partner. He hoped that the two sides would have more extensive cooperation in many areas in the future, especially in Garment Technology & Fashion Design.

Prof. Salvador Ferreras - Vice president of KPU expressed his pleasure to be cooperative partner of HaUI. He stated that this cooperative memorandum of the two universities would be a good beginning for further cooperation in the future.
Overview of the meeting
This MOU marks the cooperation in the research and academic fields between the two universities. Accordingly, the two sides pledged the cooperation, including: Exchange of faculty members, staffs and researchers; Exchange of students; Promotion of joint research activities; Planning and execution of academic collaborations; Mutual invitations to educational conferences and symposia and meetings; Exchange of academic materials, publications and information; Explore possibility of joint degree (2+2 program) or non-degree educational programme under various types of school-running for the related majors; Exchange in text-books, academic materials, periodicals, science and technology information.

Kwantlen University of Science and Technology, Canada (KPU) was established in 1981. It is one of the largest universities in Vancouver, Canada with 4 campuses located in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia. KPU offers bachelor's degree, associate degree, diploma and certificate in more than 135 programs.
