Fire Prevention and Rescue Drill at Hanoi University of Industry
HaUI's collaboration with the FPFR Police Department of Ha Nam province demonstrates the commitment of the university to prioritize the safety of its campus. The FPFR Police Department, with its expertise in fire prevention, fighting, and rescue operations, played a pivotal role in designing and executing the drill. Their involvement ensures that the training is based on industry best practices and adheres to safety standards.
The primary objectives of the fire prevention and rescue drill were to:
Raise Awareness: Educate staff and students about the importance of fire prevention and the role each individual plays in maintaining a safe environment.
Enhance Skills: Provide hands-on training to enhance the skills of participants in using fire extinguishers, evacuation procedures, and first aid techniques.
Test Emergency Response: Simulate real-life scenarios to test the efficiency of the university's emergency response systems and the coordination of staff and students during an evacuation.
The drill commenced with a theoretical session, where participants were briefed on fire safety protocols, evacuation routes, and the proper use of firefighting equipment. Following the theoretical session, practical exercises were conducted, simulating various emergency scenarios. Participants actively engaged in fire extinguisher usage, evacuation procedures, and providing basic first aid.
The fire prevention and rescue drill reflects a proactive approach toward ensuring the safety and well-being of the university community. The lessons learned from this drill will undoubtedly contribute to a safer campus and serve as a model for other institutions to prioritize emergency preparedness.
