To date, Hanoi University of Industry has initiated several collaborative training activities with corporate partners and universities around the world, with a particular focus on educational cooperation with Chinese partners.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong presented a paper titled: "Integrating Education-Industry and International Cooperation between Vietnam and China in the New Era: Practical Experiences at Hanoi University of Industry, Vietnam."
He highlighted the critical role and significance of educational collaboration between Vietnam and China, emphasizing that joint training, research, and exchange programs between universities in both countries have contributed to improving the quality of education, particularly in technology and engineering.
The integration of education and industry is an inevitable trend in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. By integrating education with industry and international cooperation, a collaborative network is formed between Vietnamese training institutions, Chinese training institutions, and businesses. Vietnamese educational institutions, especially Hanoi University of Industry, have made substantial investments in developing and applying new technologies in teaching and research. Collaboration with Chinese partners has provided Vietnamese educational institutions with access to advanced technological resources, thereby improving the quality of training and scientific research.
The unique feature of the tripartite collaboration model in training is the strengthening of ties between educational institutions and enterprises, the internationalization of education, and the development of a highly skilled workforce that meets business needs. Enterprises are involved in the training process and provide financial support. Students participating in the program receive specialized knowledge from both Vietnamese and Chinese institutions, gain access to new technologies, and engage in internships at Chinese enterprises.
Amid rapid technological advancements and constant changes in the labor market, the integration of education and industry and the enhancement of international cooperation have become essential needs. Hanoi University of Industry not only focuses on improving the quality of education but also on equipping students with the necessary skills for success in an international working environment. Therefore, HaUI highly values its partnerships with Chinese institutions, ensuring that its students have the best opportunities to access cutting-edge technologies and knowledge from advanced educational systems. The following key initiatives have been outlined:
Firstly, Strengthening the involvement of enterprises in the cooperative relationship between training institutions in Vietnam and China. Businesses provide technological and technical support, assist learners, and employ the trained graduates.
Secondly, In addition to attracting Vietnamese lecturers and students to study and conduct research in China, Chinese partners actively promote and facilitate the exchange of Chinese students and lecturers to visit, study, and conduct research at Hanoi University of Industry.
Thirdly, Encouraging Chinese enterprises to invest in Hanoi University of Industry's infrastructure, including machinery, equipment, and technology aligned with production needs, collaborating with HaUI to develop training programs and participating in the training process to meet business production requirements.
With significant progress in diplomatic relations, scientific and technological cooperation, and innovation between Vietnam and China, as well as practical solutions discussed by Hanoi University of Industry, Chinese training institutions, and businesses at the conference, all parties are confident that sustainable development in education, technology, and the quality of human resources in both countries will experience a strong transformation, leading to deeper, more meaningful cooperation.
