Food safety is a great concern to Vietnamese people. In fact, each individual has the right to use adequate food. What is the reason for rising concern for food unsafety in Vietnam?
In order to address this question, HaUI Technology Institute held a conference on "Food safety and microencapsulation application in food additive production" on the morning of August 3rd, 2016. At the conference, Dr. Nguyen Van Loi, Director of Biological Technology and Food Processing, gave a report.
Lecturers of HaUI Institute of Technology, Faculty of Chemical Technology and other distinguished guests from Hanoi University of Science and Technology attended this conference.
Firstly, Dr. Nguyen Van Loi presented some potential risks of contaminated food related to physical, chemical and biological elements originated from nature, food processing, heavy metal, or sellers who inject toxins into food intentionally and unintentionally. It aimed at giving objective and subjective reasons of this problem and encouraging people to use environmentally friendly products.
Secondly, Dr. Nguyen Van Loi provided current studies on microencapsulation application in food additive production.
Finally, scientists discussed, shared their opinions about food safety, procedures of existing microencapsulation production and other its potential benefits.
This is a periodically scientific conference of HaUI Institute of Technology with the purpose of gathering, exchanging information among scientists inside and outside of HaUI, thereby enhancing cooperation among universities in technological research, application and transfer
