On April,12th 2017, Hanoi University of Industry organized the institutional apprasal meeting of the scientific research "Application of biotechnology to producing chicken feed from byproducts and agricultural products of Bac Giang province " led by Dr. Nguyen Van Loi - HaUI Institute of Technology in Bac Giang province in 2016.
Dr. Nguyen Van Loi - Head of the research giving presentation
Food hygiene and safety are now of concern in the whole society. Therefore, the feed must ensure quality and reasonable price. The authors have focused on determining subjective factors, physical-chemical fators and nutritional values in the chicken feed produced from agricultural by-products using biotechnology in Bac Giang.
The authors have studied and developed the process of producing feed using biotechnology, applied at Nguyen Minh Development and Investment One Member Limited Liability Company with 2 tons of Vietnamese feed meeting the national standard - TCVN 2265: 2007. Also, they developed the chicken feed application model in two households in Hong Lac village, Dong Tam commune, Yen The district, Bac Giang province. By analyzing and determining the nutritional and microbiological criteria of the chicken, it can be conluded that chickens fed by this model had a higher protein content than chickens fed with other common industrial feed.
The apprasal committee concluded that the research is of scientific and practical significance in raising chickens (free ranger) in Bac Giang province. The formulation and production process is easy to apply in the locals with available resources. The authors have well completed the research before the registered deadline with more products than expected.
At the end of the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Bong – Chairman of the council suggested the research team continue to improve and modify the content to achieve better assessment at the Bac Giang provincial level apprasal meeting. The council the agreed to accept the research with Distintion Grade.
