DCN-DT02, Hanoi University of Industry ranked 3rd in ABU Robocon 2023

On the afternoon of August 27, 2023, at the Morodok Techo National Sports Complex, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, 14 teams competed in the Asia-Pacific Robotics Innovation Competition 2023 (ABU) Final Round. Robocon). Representing Vietnam, the DCN-DT02 team, Hanoi University of Industry ranked third overall and won the Best Engineering award.

ABU Robocon is always an anticipated event, where teams demonstrate their creative and technical abilities in designing, building and controlling robots to complete challenging tasks. This year, the competition was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, attracting the participation of 14 teams from 13 different countries and territories.
Ranked as the number 1 seed in Group D, DCN-DT02 impressively won Chey-Yo quickly over team India after 21 seconds. Not long after that, DCN-DT02 continued to beat team Cambodia 2 to win first place in the group.

The semi-final match between Vietnam team and Japan team

Meeting India again in the quarterfinals, DCN-DT02 maintained an impressive performance when defeating their opponent with a victory of Chey-Yo in 36 seconds and facing Japan in the semi-finals. The match started extremely dramatic. Both teams' robots are high-speed and accurate. However, DCN-DT02's robot encountered a problem. Seizing the opportunity, the Japanese squad quickly closed the match with an absolute victory over Chey-Yo. Thus, DCN-DT02 stopped at the ABU Robocon 2023 semifinals and ranked 3rd overall. Japan team was crowned champion, ranked second was Hong Kong (China); China team ranked third.
