Hanoi University of Industry Holds a Decision Announcement Ceremony to Award the Certificate of Education Quality Accreditation and Welcome New School Year 2017 – 2018

On the morning of September 27th, Hanoi University of Industry held a ceremony to announce the Decision of awarding of education quality certificate and welcome new school year 2017 – 2018 at Campus A-Minh Khai Ward, Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi.

Mr. Cao Quoc Hung - Party Commissioner - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; Mr.Trinh Huy Thanh - Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee; representative from the Center for Quality Control of Education - Hanoi National University; Cultural and educational counselor, Embassy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Vietnam Mr. Amphavanh KUANGANGMANIVANH; Director, representatives from Ministry's Office, specialized officials in functional departments of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; Comrade Party Secretary, Chairman, Vice Chairman of the Minh Khai, Tay Tuu wards; close military units; Representatives of scholarship sponsors attended the ceremony.

It was also an honor to have the attention of Assoc. Prof. Dr.Tran Duc Quy - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University and the School Board. Assoc.Prof. Dr. Le Hong Quan - Chairman of the School Council and its members. Members of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee, the Trade Union Standing Committee, the Youth Union, heads and deputy heads of the departments, centers, teaching advisors, lecturers and more than 700 students representing more than 30,000 students of Hanoi University of Industry.

At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of HaUI gave a summary of the outstanding achievements in 2016-2017 school year. In 2017, Quality Assurance Center - Vietnam National University - Hanoi, the leading educational quality accreditation agency in Vietnam with a team of scientists and experts in the field of auditing was invited to evaluate the education quality in this school. The procedures were carried out by the Evaluation Council, the Evaluation Council and the Center for Accreditation of Education - HNU basing on strict standards. As a result, the school has achieved 52 out of 61 criteria, equaling 85.2%. This is a positive result affirming the university’s position and brand name, encouraging school to improve and invest appropriately in international integration era. "Having achieved this remarkable achievement, we must first acknowledge the efforts, dedication of our teachers, educational administrators, who directly contribute to the students' capacity." emphasized Assoc. Prof.Dr Tran Duc Quy.

Ms.Ta Thi Thu Hien - Deputy Director of the Center for Quality Assurance of Education, Hanoi National University - commented: After implementing strict procedures in accordance with the regulations of Circular No. 62/2012 / TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training, Hanoi University of Industry has met the conditions and received quality accreditation certificate. The result shows that the school’s development orientation has linked to the overall plan of socio-economic development of Hanoi and the whole country. Training programs were reviewed, adjusted, consulted with relevant stakeholders; teaching methods are focused on innovation; the rate of educated workers suitable for the training industry is relatively high; a number of scientific and technological products are granted copyright registration certificates; several cooperative relationships with many educational institutions, organizations and enterprises in foreign countries were established.

On behalf of more than 30,000 students of Hanoi Industrial University, Nguyen Huyen Trang, a first year student at Faculty of Foreign Languages, exclaimed: "I am very impressed with the rich history and development strategies and achievements that the University has achieved. We, students, are very proud to become a part of Hanoi University of Industry and will strive to study well, train well to deserve the school’s 119 years development.

At the same time, Hanoi University of Industry awarded scholarships to the 6 best students in the academic year 2017 - 2018 with the expense of 60 million VND for a student and 5 scholarships for Lao exchange students with 135 million VND per student.

At the ceremony, the school received scholarships from agencies, organizations, enterprises and individuals for "Nguyen Thanh Binh" scholarship fund with a total value of nearly 300 million VND.

In addition, the school also received the support of machines, equipment, scholarships and training support cost worthing tens of billions VND of companies: Samsung Electronics Vietnam Limited: 19.455.000.000 VND ; Nissan Techno Vietnam and Pasona Tech Vietnam Company: 8,580,000,000 VND; Hong Hai Science and Technology Group (Foxcom): 3,229,512,000 VND.

The new school year 2017 - 2018 will be an important milestone in school's history with the celebration of 120 years of tradition and the noble rewards from the Vietnamese Party and the Government. Throughout many historical periods, relocating, merging and renaming with many difficulties and challenges, generations of teachers and students always unite to drive the school to a new level.
