Seminar on “Developing enterprises in universities and colleges under the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Current Situation and Solutions”
On the afternoon of December 14th, Hanoi University of Industry, in collaboration with the Club of Universities and Colleges under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, organized a seminar on " Developing enterprises in universities and colleges under the Ministry of Industry and Trade – Current Situation and Solutions."

Welcoming the presence of Mr. Pham Ngoc Lan - Standing Committee Member, Head of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Vietnam, and more than 70 delegates representing over 30 educational institutions under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Dr. Nguyen Van Thien – Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, Chairman of the Board of Members of HaUI Labour Supplying And Training Company Limited (LETCO Company under the university) emphasized: This seminar is a forum for sharing experiences in developing enterprises in the universities and colleges, evaluating opportunities and challenges, in order to propose solutions to develop enterprises in the universities and colleges in line with the goals and strategies of the new era. The model of establishing affiliated schools, research institutes, and enterprises in the universities has been successfully implemented by Hanoi University of Industry, contributing to the enhancement of training quality and affirming the brand of Hanoi University of Industry in recent years.

In the opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoan – Party Secretary, Chairman of the university council, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, and Head of the Club of Universities and Colleges under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, stated that the development of enterprises in universities and colleges is a new model currently being researched and applied by educational institutions nationwide. This model helps students enhance their skills and practical capabilities within the academic environment, while simultaneously addressing the supply and demand relationship for real-world workforce between the university and enterprises.

Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoan underscored: with three exemplary examples of fostering businesses within university settings, namely Hanoi University of Industry, Hanoi Industrial Textile Garment University, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, which were shared during the seminar, these models have proven to be quite successful. Other educational institutions can take them as reference points and draw valuable experiences, particularly in addressing issues related to employment opportunities for students and income aspects for lecturers.

During the seminar, various opinions were shared by representatives of different universities expressing their desire to esstablish enterprises in their own institutions in the coming time. Additionally, they highlighted the importance of strengthening collaborations among universities to leverage resources such as infrastructure, equipment, lecturers, and students, in order to develop enterprises in the universities more effectively.
