Being with the cheerful and exciting atmosphere of nationwide Vietnamese students to welcome the new school year, HaUI celebrated an opening ceremony of the new school year 2012 - 2013 in the morning of Octorber 9th 2012. The ceremony took place in the joyfulness and pleasure of more than 3,000 representative students.

On 2 Octorber 2012, HaUI organized a presentation ceremony of facilities donated by Fujiya Co., Ltd.

In the afternoon of 14 June 2012, Professor Ken Hurt and Dr. Michael Fernando from MMU-UK visited and worked with the leaders of HaUI. Mr. Ha Xuan Quang, HaUI Vice Rector, and the leaders of International Cooperation Training Department warmly welcomed the delegation.

In the morning of 17 May 2012, Mr. Lee Myeong Jae, Head of Planning Department of Korea Kijeon University visited and worked with HaUI with the purpose of establishing cooperation programme between these two universities.

On 9-27 April, the group of HaUI lecturers from VJC and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering provided the three-week training course on basic operation of machining centers for two technicians of Nagatsu Vietnam Co., Ltd.

On 27 March 2012, Mr. Koki Hayasaka, President of Etsuki Co., Ltd. visited HaUI.Etsuki is a leading manufacturer of conventional machine tools in Japan.

On 4^th January 2012, eleven members of Fukushima Teacher Mission visited HaUI. They were warmly welcomed by HaUI board members (Mr. Ha Xuan Quang and Mr. Tran Duc Quy) and others. After studying overview of HaUI and the JICA-HaUI Project, the mission members visited the workshops of the Vietnam Japan Center (VJC), interacting with VJC’s lecturers and students. In the Q&A session, they were interested in issues such as whether Vietnamese schools provided traditional vocational training courses; Vietnamese’s perfection on producing products in comparison with Japanese. Teachers from Fukushima were impressed by clean working environment in VJC as well as students’ optimism in studying and working.

In the morning of 4 January 2012, a group of teachers from Fukushima province - Japan visited HaUI. Dr. Tran Duc Quy, HaUI Rector, Mr. Ha Xuan Quang, HaUI Vice Rector, as well as the leaders of International Cooperation Department, Vietnam Japan Center and the Jica Project consultant warmly welcomed the group.

In the afternoon of 27 December 2011, Mr. Shuichi Nishimura, Corporate Vice President of Nissan Motor and Mr. Akio Iwamoto, Corporate Vice President of Nissan Techno along with Group’s members visited and worked with HaUI.
