Approval of University-level research study led by Dr. Hoang Ngoc Tue

On 26/07/2017, the University held an appraisal and approval meeting for the University-level study titled “Current situation of the application of journal writing to teaching writing skill to first year english majors at Hanoi University of Industry and solutions to improve its effectiveness” led by Dr. Hoang Ngoc Tue - Dean of Faculty of Foreign Languages

The authors conducted theoretical studies on the journal writing activities for first year English major students and related research as well as explored the teachers’ beliefs on the effectiveness of the journal writing activity. Based on the findings of the study, the authors proposed solutions to improve the effectiveness of this activity for teaching purposes in Faculty of Foreign Languages, Hanoi University of Industry.

The review board highly valued the scientific and practical significance of the studies. The findings will make important contributions to developing new methods for applying the journal writing activity in teaching English at Hanoi University of Industry, thereby improving the quality of teaching foreign languages as a whole. The authors successfully fulfilled the research objectives. The review board awarded the study the High Distinction grade.
