Congress of Delegations of Hanoi University of Industry’s Trade Union for the term 2023 - 2028: Innovation - Democracy - Solidarity - Development

On the morning of January 7, 2023, the 9th Congress of Delegations of Hanoi University of Industry’s Trade Union, term 2023 - 2028 took place successfully, elected 15 comrades in the Executive Committee of the University's Trade Union for the term 2023 - 2028.

Attending and directing the Congress, there were Mr. Quach Van Ngoc - Vice Chairman of Vietnam Trade Union; representatives of leaders, experts of the Organizing Committee, the Propaganda Department, the Policy and Law Department of the Vietnam Trade Union.
On the side of Hanoi University of Industry, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Secretary of the Party Committee. Rector of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hong Quan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council; the comrades of the Party Committee, the University Council, the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union; The Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and 155 delegates who are members of the University’s Trade Union.

The Congress is an important political event of the University, with the task of evaluating the results of the implementation of the Resolution of the University's Trade Union Congress for the term 2018 - 2023, determining the goals and directions of the trade union work for the term 2023 - 2028; especially elected a new Executive Board with sufficient capacity, qualifications and enthusiasm to fulfill the political mission and tasks of the Trade Union.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong reported at the Congress

At the Congress, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong - Chairman of the University's Trade Union presented a report summarizing trade union activities for the term 2018 - 2023 and working directions for the term 2023-2028. Accordingly, trade union activities in the period 2018 - 2023 have achieved very positive achievements in all areas of work with many innovations in methods and content; actively coordinated with the authorities in activities, built a strong solidarity organization, affirmed the position and role of the Trade Union. The Executive Board of the Trade Union also seriously reviewed and assessed the advantages and limitations in the management work in order to find out the causes and solutions to overcome and further improve the quality of trade union activities.

Speaking at the Congress, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Secretary of the Party Committee, and Rector of the University highly appreciated the position and role of trade unions in the overall development of the University.

Summarizing the important issues, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy emphasized: The Executive Committee of the University's Trade Union should pay attention to improving the union's professional capacity, political awareness, political stance, and legal understanding of union members; It is necessary to strengthen discussion and exchanges through practical activities so that the University's trade union members can understand and unite, be more stable in their work, and contribute to the overall development of Hanoi University of Industry.

Speaking to direct the Congress, Comrade Quach Van Ngoc - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Trade Union highly appreciated the efforts of the Union of Hanoi University of Industry in the past term. Mr. Quach Van Ngoc expressed his confidence and hope that in the coming term, the Trade Union of Hanoi University of Industry will continue to organize and deploy emulation activities and movements; protect and care for the legitimate rights and interests of trade union members.
