Opening Ceremony for English Language Distance Learning Course Welcomes 131 HaUI Freshmen

On August 18, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) proudly welcomed 131 freshmen to the Opening Ceremony of its English Language Distance Learning Courses. As distance learning rapidly gains traction in Vietnam, HaUI's initiative reflects the broader educational trend, with over 1 million online learners in the country by 2023, including more than 500,000 students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Recognizing the growing importance of distance education in the digital era, HaUI has made significant strides in enhancing the quality of its training programs. In collaboration with ONSCHOOL Company, the university has launched a comprehensive English Language training course. This initiative is designed to provide learners with the flexibility and resources necessary to excel in their studies while balancing personal and professional commitments.

Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice Rector of HaUI, emphasized the numerous advantages of distance learning during the ceremony. He noted, "Distance learning provides students with in-depth professional knowledge and creates conditions for students to develop soft skills, self-study ability, and initiative in approaching knowledge. In addition to unlimited access to lectures, learners can also access the latest content. This helps students update new, modern knowledge content, meeting the information requirements of professional work."

The ceremony also featured testimonials from students, highlighting the program's impact on their educational journeys. Ha Quynh Trang, an attendee who currently works at the Center for Disease Control in Quang Ninh province, shared her experience: "I have long recognized the importance of foreign languages. However, due to working conditions and many other reasons, I cannot go to school directly. And when I saw the online distance learning course, and the degree from a reputable university like Hanoi University of Industry, I was assured and found it very suitable. Hopefully, I will complete the course effectively and on schedule as expected."
