Review conference of IT management system project according to the e-university model

On the afternoon of January 9, 2023, Hanoi University of Industry held a review conference of the IT management system project according to the e-university model. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University emphasized: The project has completed an important stage, initially successfully implementing the e-university model, towards the development of a smart university.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy, this is a large, open project with high demand for improvement, the product group is always evaluated comprehensively so that it best suits Hanoi University of Industry. In order to transition to a new stage, the project management board and implementing departments need to look back at the positive aspects, and also need to frankly look at the "bottlenecks", then focus on solving them well. existing ones, as the basis for the next development steps.

Emphasizing in the report on the effectiveness of the project, Mr. Hoang Anh - Director of the Quality Management Center said: The project lays an important foundation for digital transformation within the University; effectively brings many activities; contributes to improving the reputation and brand of the University; so it has highly been appreciated by staff, lectures and students.

According to the report, the project has built an overall model of the system with 623 business processes of various fields and activities, developed 28 software modules, and built IT infrastructure to meet the requirements. The operating system has brought specific results: more than 264 million uses on the web; 191 thousand App downloads; over 12 thousand App usages and 692 GB of system database space and over 103 thousand peak concurrent users per second.

Presenting the shortcomings of the project, Mr. Hoang Anh said: Besides the achieved results, the project still has shortcomings that need to be overcome to improve, such as: The progress of the project is not guaranteed, Some implementation activities are slow, The role of units in process design is not prominent; The overall model design has not been highly predictive; Management problems have not been thoroughly handled; The project has not brought direct financial results, etc.

Not only applied for University but the "made by HaUI" e-university system has also been highly appreciated and replicated in other management and training units across the country such as the General Department of Vocational Education and Training, the Electric Power University, Hai Phong University, Vinh University of Technology and Education, etc. Up to now, the e-university of Hanoi University of Industry has been honored to receive 03 major awards: the Vietnamese Talent Awards in 2012, Sao Khue Awards in 2016 and Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Awards (Vifotec) in 2018.
