On June 21, 2024, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) hosted the First National Conference on Energy, Electronics, and Automation - EEA 2024. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, underscored the significance of the conference. He emphasized that strengthening cooperation, academic exchange, and exploring new research directions and technological trends, particularly in interdisciplinary research, are crucial for scientists working in energy, electronics, and automation. According to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dong, the sharing of achievements, discoveries, and breakthrough ideas among scientists can spur significant progress, promoting sustainable development and the creation of products and services of both national and international importance.
The EEA 2024 conference exemplified the collaboration in training and scientific and technological activities among six training institutions under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. These institutions included Hanoi University of Industry, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Electric Power University, University of Economics - Technology for Industries, Viet Tri University of Industry, and Hue Industrial College.

A significant portion of the conference discussions revolved around renewable, new, green, and sustainable energy sources. Participants examined classic clean energy sources like solar, wind, and geothermal energy, and delved into more advanced topics such as ocean wave energy, offshore wind energy, ocean thermal energy, and biological energy. The consensus was that developing new and renewable energy sources is a breakthrough solution that will contribute significantly to economic development and help Vietnam meet its international commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to achieve "net-zero" carbon dioxide emissions by 2050.
The field of biomedical electronic engineering technology, a pioneering area in the digital age, also garnered significant attention from researchers and students. This field's potential to revolutionize healthcare and improve the quality of life underscored its importance in the broader context of the conference.
The EEA 2024 Conference received over 200 scientific reports, with 88 reports presented by authors from eight countries, including Russia, France, China, Japan, Laos, Mozambique, Poland, Pakistan, and Vietnam. The reports covered a wide range of topics, including Energy and sustainable development; Smart grids, energy storage, and conversion technology; Smart manufacturing techniques; Power electronics applications in energy systems; Heat and air conditioning engineering technology; Mechanical and electronic technology; Motion control and industrial robots; Wireless power transmission; Telecommunications electronics and biomedical electronics; Data collection and transmission systems; Information technology and artificial intelligence; Technical advances in industry...
