Speak Up 2024: Shining Talents
On the evening of May 30th, the finals of the "Speak Up" English Enthusiasts Contest for Students 2024 featured an exciting competition among teams from six universities. Ultimately, the first prize was awarded to the team of the University of Languages and International Studies - Vietnam National University, Hanoi; the second prize went to the School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), and the University of Transport and Communications.

With the theme "Empowering Student Voices on Mental Health," Speak Up 2024 delivered a profound message about the importance of the mental health. The competition aimed to convey the message: In a high-pressure academic environment, students face up with numerous challenges. Paying attention to mental health not only improves students' quality of life but also enhances academic performance and overall development.

The finals of Speak Up 2024 featured competition among six outstanding teams from the following universities: Thuongmai University, University of Transport and Communications, Electric Power University, Phenikaa University, University of Languages and International Studies - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, Hanoi University of Industry.
In the final round, the teams competed in three sections: Greeting, Knowledge, and Debate
Through relentless effort and outstanding performance in all three sections, especially with their confidence and sharp thinking in presenting clear arguments combined with professional presentation skills, the Charlie’s Angels team from the University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, excellently secured the championship in the 2024 Speak Up contest.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ba Phong - Vice Principal of the School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, HaUI; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thuy Nga - Dean of the English Department, School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, HaUI; Ms. Bui Hai Yen – Representative of Binh Minh Joint Stock Company awarded the first prize to the Charlie’s Angels team from the University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
Dr. Tran Huong Quynh – Dean of English language Faculty, Hanoi National University of Education; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thuy Trang – Acting Vice Dean of English language Faculty, Academy of Finance; Dr. Dang Thi Minh Tam – Vice Dean of English language Faculty, School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, HaUI awarded the second prize to teams from the School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, HaUI and the University of Transport and Communications.
Ms. Le Duc Hanh -Vice Director of the Training and Cooperation Development Center, School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, HaUI; Dr. Lam Thi Lan Huong - Thuyloi University; Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hanh –School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, HaUI; Simon Schmidt - International Volunteer, School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, Hanoi University of Industry awarded the third prize to teams from Thuongmai University, Electric Power University, and Phenikaa University.
