16th Scientific and Technological Conference on Mechanics and Dynamics

On October 15, 2023, the 16th Scientific and Technological Conference on Mechanics and Dynamics was successfully held with the participation of various agencies and units affiliated with universities, research institutes, businesses, as well as authors presenting reports at the conference.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hong Quan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council of Hanoi University of Industry; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Đong, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, along with the ABET expert delegation, attended the 16th Scientific and Technological Conference on Mechanics and Dynamics

In the welcoming speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hoai Duc, Vice Rector of the University of Transport and Communications, expressed gratitude to the delegates, experts, and scientists for participating in the conference.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long reported that, after the preparation phases of paper submission and peer review, the Organizing Committee received 121 scientific papers. These papers originated from the member units of the Mechanical – Dynamics Club and relevant organizations and businesses in the field of Mechanical – Dynamics.

All papers underwent thorough two-way independent peer reviews, and 64 selected papers will be published in a special issue of the Journal of Transportation Science. These papers focus on researching core issues of the Mechanical - Power field, such as Mechanical Engineering in Transportation - Maritime, Mechanical - Electronics - Materials, New Engines and Energy, Automotive Dynamics, Specialized Vehicles and Construction Machinery, and Digital Simulation - New Structures.

Scientific and Technological Conference on Mechanics and Dynamics is an annual forum for researchers, practitioners, and educators in the field of Mechanical – Dynamics to share experiences, engage in scholarly exchange, collaborate to enhance the quality of education, and promote the development of the Mechanical – Dynamics industry. Additionally, it aims to foster the emergence of new research directions.

The conference honored Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Phan from School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry, who was appointed as an Associate Professor in 2022 and became a member of the club

During the opening session, chaired by Professor Dr. Vu Duc Lap – Vice President of the Mechanical – Dynamics Club, and Prof. Dr. Le Anh Tuan – Chairman of the University Council of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, participants had the opportunity to listen to several exemplary scientific reports that contribute to the development of the Mechanical - Dynamics field in particular, and the overall economy in general.

Dr. Le Anh Son - Deputy Director of Phenikaa Group presented the topic “Autonomous Technology and its Practical Applications.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Trong Hoa from the University of Transport and Communications presented the topic “Determining the Maximum Allowable Wind Speed for Lifting Wind Turbine Blades.”

Mr. Le Thanh Nhan from Hanoi University of Science and Technology presented the topic “Research on the Influence of Coefficient of Adhesion Parameters on the Energy Consumption of Electric Vehicles.”

Dr. Cu Xuan Phong presented the topic “Designing a Hydraulic Power Steering System for the Main Clutch Control on Motorcycles.”Mr. Nguyen Duc Toan from the University of Transport and Communications presented the study on “Determining the Service Life of the Wheelset in the Urban Railway Line Cat Linh – Ha Đong Based on Wear of Rolling Surface and Wheel Flange during Operation.”
