Opening Ceremony of the External Evaluation of 03 training programs: Information Systems, Chinese Language and Business Administration

On the morning of January 17, 2022, Hanoi University of Industry in collaboration with the Center for Education Accreditation - the Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges held the Opening Ceremony of the External Evaluation of 03 training programs: Information Systems, Chinese Language and Business Administration.

Attending the opening ceremony, on the side of the Center for Accreditation of Education Quality, the Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges (CEA-AVU&C), there were Prof. Dr. Banh Tien Long - Former Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Head of the External Evaluation (EE) team; Assoc.Prof.Dr.Nguyen Phuong Nga - Center Director, Supervisor of the EE team, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Van Uyen - Head of Quality Accreditation Department - CEA-AVU&C, Secretary of the EE team and other members of the EE team.

Overview of the opening ceremony

On the side of Hanoi University of Industry, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University, Chairman of the Self-Evaluation Council (SEC), Assoc. Le Hong Quan - Chairman of the SEC, Dr. Bui Thi Ngan - Vice-Rector of the University, Vice Chairman of the SEC; Dr. Nguyen Van Thien - Vice-Rector of the University, Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc - Vice-Rector of the University and members of the SEC, specialized groups, representatives of unions and units in the University, and many lecturers and students of the University.

In the opening speech, Prof. Dr. Sc. Banh Tien Long, Head of the Evaluation team, noted that Hanoi University of Industry is an active and proactive university in implementing self-Evaluation, in the whole process of receiving suggestions for revision and comments of experts from the recent preliminary survey; the University has made many innovations in governance and digital transformation, so it is very convenient for the Evaluation team to access documents and evidence; the University’s leaders, staff and lecturers work responsibly and professionally.

At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University emphasized: accreditation of training programs is one of the solutions to improve the quality of higher education, especially in the current situation. Through the accreditation program, we will locate the value and brand as well as the quality of training programs. The University considers this an opportunity for all leaders, officials and lecturers to review, recognize and evaluate the effectiveness of the University’s activities in a comprehensive way, taking that as the foundation for proposing improved solutions to continuously improve the quality in all aspects of operations.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy, on behalf of the staff, lecturers and students, thanked the attention and facilitation of the Center for Education Accreditation - Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges in the accreditation process. The Rector suggested that all staff, teachers and students of the University work actively, provide documents and evidence, and be ready to be interviewed so that the Evaluation team can complete the task.

At the opening ceremony, representatives of 3 faculties: Information Technology, Business Administration and School of Languages ​​and Tourism gave an overview and action plans to improve the quality of training programs. The official survey for the external evaluation of 03 training programs - Information Systems, Chinese Language, and Business Administration - will take place from January 17, 2022, to January 22, 2022.
