The Announcement of the Resolution to recognize the University Council, the Resolution to appoint to the position of Vice-President and to establish the School of Languages and Tourism

On the morning of January 21, 2022, Hanoi University of Industry held The Announcement of the Resolution to recognize the University Council, Chairman of the University Council for the term 2022 - 2026; the Resolution of the University Council to the first appoint of 2 Vice-Rectors and to establish the School of Languages and Tourism. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doctor Le Hong Quan holds the position of Chairman of the University Council.

The Announcement was honored to have the presence of Mr. Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan - Member of Steering Committee, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Industry and Trade, Mrs. Truong Thi Dung - Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of the Universities and College in Hanoi, and the leaders of Departments: Department of Personnel and Organization, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Finance and Enterprise Innovation, Department of Planning, Department of Legal Affair; along with Ministry Inspector, Office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam National Union of Workers in Industry and Trade and press agencies.

On the side of Hanoi University of Industry, the representatives were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hong Quan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, Chairman of the University Council; the comrades in the Party Committee, the University Council, the Vice-Rectors, the President of the Trade Union, the Secretary of the Youth Union, and representatives of units in the whole university.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Mrs. Nguyen Ngoc Minh Huong - Deputy Chief of Department of Organization and Personnel, Ministry of Industry and Trade announced the Resolution recognition of the Board of Trustee and Resolution recognition Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hong Quan to hold office as Chairman of University Council for the term 2022 - 2026.

The decision to appoint 2 Vice-Rectors, Dr. Nguyen Van Thien and Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc; decided to establish the School of Foreign Languages - Tourism under the Hanoi University of Industry, led by Dr. Hoang Ngoc Tue holding the position of Rector.

In his speech at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan congratulated and expressed his belief that the University Council, Chairman of University Council of Hanoi University of Industry for the term 2022 - 2026, newly appointed leaders, and the whole management of the University continuing to inherit the fine, innovative and creative tradition to get the University to proceed faster and further in integration.

The deputy minister emphasized that: The Ministry of Industry and Trade recognized the creativity and breakthrough of the University’s leaders in university management innovation. It is the advanced model which many countries around the world successfully adapt. It improves the management, administration and self-determination capacity. Mr. Tan highly appreciated the strategy in building and developing the university, especially in the application of digital university in completely managing the activities, which proved effective in reality.

The deputy minister put his trust and assigns the mission for the university and the student to accomplish in near future:

Firstly, continue to be completely and fundamentally innovative in university education, successfully realize the goal of making Hanoi University of Industry into a high-quality university with multi-disciplinary training, some disciplines conform to international standards, meet the demand for high-quality human resources of the national and global labor market.

Secondly, continue to synchronously innovate the targets, contents, programs and methods in education and training toward modernity, global integration, comprehensive human development, meeting the new requirements of socio-economic development, science and technology, adapting to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Thirdly, focusing on building and fostering leaders, experts, and lecturers with high professional qualifications and have research ability to do well in their role of administrating and guiding learners, they must be a shining example of quality and morality. Hanoi University of Industry must be a place to attract talents, gather the most excellent minds in the world of science, research and teaching; to incubate the young talents of the country today and in the future.

Fourthly, actively and globally integrate in training, fostering and science researching. Promoting science research among the staff, lecturers and students, especially encourage research with global integration aspect. The university must improve the potential of science and technology research, contribute to improving the training quality and developing training activity, make science and technology contribute to the sustainable development of the university.
Fifthly, to strengthen the education in the young generation about revolutionary ideals, morality, fine lifestyle, raise patriotism and national pride, nurture dreams, ambitions and aspirations to rise; uphold the sense of responsibility towards the country and society; develop environment and conditions for learning, working, entertaining and training for a healthy, comprehensive and harmonious development of intellectual, physical and aesthetic values.

Sixthly, to effectively promote the self-determination of the university, actively create, exploit and use the resources of the University; innovate university management, promote digital transformation, towards smart-university management.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy affirmed: The academic year of 2021 - 2022 is the pivotal year to realize the target by 2025, in which Hanoi University of Industry will consist of 3 to 5 universities under/affiliated. The establishment of the School of Languages and Tourism today marks an important milestone in transforming the model of Hanoi University of Industry. In the meantime, there will still be many difficulties, but with a long tradition and experience accumulated in 124 years of constructing and developing, the Party Committee, the Board of Trustee, the Board of Directors and staff, lecturers and students of the university will determine to innovate, create, learn and update new issues, effectively apply the policy, the orientation and support of the ministry and branches to complete all missions and plans.
