On October 4th, 2024, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) hosted a significant event as part of the Tokyo Job Fair 2024 program. Representatives from five Japanese enterprises participated in the fair, offering a unique opportunity for students to directly engage, exchange ideas, and explore employment prospects in Tokyo, Japan.
Assoc.Prof.Dr.Pham Van Dong - Vice Rector of HaUI welcomed representatives of Japanese enterprises and students attending the event
The event aimed to bridge the gap between Japanese companies and skilled Vietnamese students, fostering potential collaborations and employment opportunities abroad. Students from various departments at HaUI attended, eager to make meaningful connections with potential employers.
Among them was Vuong Le Quoc Tuan, a student from the School of Mechanical Engineering - Automobile, who confidently shared his experience and ambitions: "I have participated in a 1-year business internship in Japan, so I have a clear goal. After graduating, I aim to work at a foreign enterprise, specifically in Tokyo, Japan." For Tuan, this event was an ideal platform to continue building on his prior experience and solidify his professional aspirations.
Similarly, students from the School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, Dong Gia Khanh and Ma Thi Huyen, saw the Tokyo Job Fair as an opportunity to advance their career goals. Both students, studying Japanese, took advantage of the event to speak directly with company representatives and gather information about their desired employers. The chance to learn about recruitment processes and company cultures gave them an invaluable head start in planning their post-graduation careers.
The Tokyo Job Fair 2024 stands out for its inclusivity, recruiting not only students and fresh graduates but also professionals across a broad range of fields and experience levels. This broad scope demonstrates Japan's commitment to attracting diverse talent to its dynamic labor market.
Mr. Kato Takaaki, a representative from Nippon Information Company, highlighted the kind of personnel his company seeks. Nippon specializes in projects related to machinery systems and IT systems, and Kato expressed a desire to recruit individuals with strong programming skills, effective communication abilities, and proficiency in reading Japanese technical documents. His remarks underscored the competitive yet rewarding opportunities that await talented professionals in Japan’s booming industries.
The Tokyo Job Fair 2024 was not just a recruitment event; it was a platform for cultural exchange and professional growth. By offering direct interactions between students and recruiters, the fair allowed HaUI students to gain a deeper understanding of the expectations and demands of Japanese enterprises. For many, it marked the first step towards realizing their dream of working in Tokyo, one of the most vibrant cities in the world.
As HaUI continues to strengthen its ties with international businesses, events like the Tokyo Job Fair 2024 serve as a critical gateway for students aspiring to global careers.
