Workshop on "Digitalization and comprehensive connection of the design and manufacturing process of mechanical and electronic products".
In order to create opportunities for lecturers to access new technology for industrial production, digitalization and the application of digital technology in their working process, on the morning of August 3, Hanoi University of Industry collaborated with Vietbay Technology Co., Ltd and Siemens Vietnam to organize a conference with the theme "Digitalization and comprehensive connection of the design and manufacturing process of mechanical and electronic products".
Overview of the conference
Attending the event, on the side of Hanoi University of Industry, there was the presence of Dr. Nguyen Van Thien - Head of Personnel and Administration Department; Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Director of Center for Enterprise Partnership; together with representatives of leaders and lecturers of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Automobile Technology, Faculty of Information Technology.

On the side of Vietbay Technology Co., Ltd, there was Ms. Dam Thi Hong Lan - Company Director; Mr. Cao Van Lanh - Deputy Director of the Company. On the side of Siemens Vietnam, there was Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen - Sales Director; Mr. Luong Van Minh – Technology expert.
The conference attracted nearly 60 delegates from Northern technical universities and leaders of mechanical and electronic enterprises.

Ms. Dam Thi Hong Lan - Director of Vietbay Technology Co., Ltd gave a presentation on "Startup support program and small and medium enterprises of Siemens and Vietbay"
At the conference, Vietbay Technology Co., Ltd and Siemens Vietnam Company opened the Design Competition for university students with a total prize value of up to 380 million VND. The Competition Organizing Committee will start accepting entries from August 8, 2022 to the end of October 10, 2022.
Within the framework of the seminar program, the delegates spent time visiting the Smart Factory Research Center at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry.

Smart factory research center is one of many projects that Hanoi University of Industry has been cooperating with enterprises. The overall goal of the project is to develop a smart factory laboratory model to supplement and improve knowledge and experimental skills for engineering students in applying industry 4.0 technologies to real production activities.
