In today’s modern world, where technology has become the universal language, information and communication technology (ICT) has permeated every aspect of life. From education and work to healthcare, industry, and governance, digital advancements are shaping the way we live and progress. Digital technology drives digital transformation, emerging as a new productive force that ushers humanity into the digital era. Thus, developing a high-quality workforce in this field is not just a task but a crucial mission to foster innovation and sustainable societal development.
On January 8, 2025, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) officially announced the establishment of two new academic units: the School of Information and Communications Technology (SICT) and the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (SEEE).
On November 9, the Faculty of Information Technology, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) hosted its third annual IT Job Fair. The event attracted fourteen prominent businesses in the IT sector, offering nearly 1,000 job opportunities to students pursuing information technology at the university. More than 1,000 students eagerly attended, hoping to connect with potential employers and explore career opportunities.
The collaboration between Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) and the Radio & Electronics Association of Vietnam (REV) marks a significant step forward in enhancing the quality of training and scientific research in the fields of electronics, telecommunications, and information technology. This partnership promises to unlock numerous opportunities for development and innovation, fostering a vibrant ecosystem for academic and industrial advancement.
At the Information Technology Job Fair 2023, thousands of students participated in applying to leading technology companies. Many outstanding students secured desired employment with attractive salaries ranging from 10 to 25 million VND per month.
In a recent workshop titled "How to Survive in the AI World" Mr. Hoang Nam Tien - Vice Chairman of the FPT University Council, shared invaluable insights with students of the Faculty of Information Technology at Hanoi University of Industry.
The student team of the Faculty of Information Technology, Hanoi University of Industry excellently won 01 First prize, 03 Second prizes, 04 Third prizes, 01 Consolation prize at the 30th Informatics Olympiad (OLP) for Vietnamese students, Procon and the 2021 Asia Hanoi International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) taken place in Hanoi from March 22 to March 25, 2022.
From December 8&9, 2022, Hanoi University of Industry in cooperation with the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology organized the National Workshop on "Some selected issues of Information and Communication Technology - 25th session" (VNICT). The event has the coordination of the Vietnam Club of Faculties-Institutes-Schools-Universities of ICT (FISU).
A group of students from the Faculty of Information Technology, Hanoi University of Industry applied artificial intelligence (AI) to develop exam cheating detection software with high accuracy. The software is expected to be put into use within the University, and there has been a company specializing in camera research offering to cooperate and develop the project.
